Envy is such a funny thing isn't it?

The photoshop contest would be entertaining if it were actually funny.  The "look-alike" therads from Penn State and Marshall were at least good for a laugh.  "The toilet bowl of the MAC?"  Our stadium may be small and outdated, but our environment is better than theirs.

Their staduim looks like a post apocalyptic facility from Chernobyl.

Your right.  In fact I believe their stadium was originally built for some kind of big Track and field event.  Maybe Pan Am Games or something..   At least you can get a good view of the touchdown passes to Foster  in the corner of the endzone while your sitting in the track turn lanes...

Empire state games. Later expanded when they moved up to/back up to D1A

He didn't get to play at Buffalo last year, right?

If you're asking about Huynh, no he didn't.  I'm also pretty sure that was The Kraken's first game action.  Both should be hungry for revenge this Saturday...

Safety Starters would most likely be Kristoff and Hughes. No clue where any depth comes from.

..or not - Hughes isn't practicing, either, but Ingol is back to practice, per Arkley. I guess that makes it Kristoff and Hughes, with depth coming from various walkons, etc.

I would add a ground pounding running game from BB/RB that owns the ball and redzone TDs.

Frankly, I think Akron will be a bigger test than Buffalo.  I saw Akron-Miami last week and the Zips score points in bunches.  We have the better team, but I'm not sure our offense can match them TD for TD.  So we need to get some defensive stops and dominate time of possession.  And hit their QB time after time.  He's very good.

I just rewatched part of the UMass game (first half, 7 minutes of the 3rd) last night while working on other stuff, only paying 40% attention. Just counting direct scoring plays, I counted 17 points we left on the table in the red zone (2 dropped catchable TD passes and the blocked FG...though the first of those drops did end up going for a FG), not counting Beau's TD run that got called back for a hold. So this game really did have an element of every bounce going the "other" way.  Makes me feel a little less panic.

I'm guessing Buffalo will slow down our rushing quite a bit, make us throw more and hope for the best. I'm predicting a pretty close game.

Frank says TT is close to 100% now, so he should be able to make all the throws in the passing game (and Landon Smith is supposed to be back). Also, TT doesn't have many runs showing up on film the last few weeks so maybe that will be open as well. Although, this OL has been able to open up holes on everyone so far.

TT hasn't run all that much all year. I THINK (though I'm not sure) that thats because opponents (well, Penn State) were looking to shut down the QB part of the read option, so Beau gets the ball...and thats worked well for us so far. Thats the name of the game, making the defense commit one way or another (or if you both cover the QB keep AND commit to prevent the tailback dive/inside run, you leave receivers open) and gashing them the other way.

Sound like an Ohio plan vs Buffalo. Brandon Oliver, ran all over the cats last year, 170+ yds, is averaging 140+ yards this year and Buffalo still has Neutz as their go to receiver.

I'm saying they will slow down our rushing, not just try.

Just going off the tickets page on Ohiobobcats.com, it appears there are a lot of tickets left.  Not sure we are going to be close to 24k.

Ticketing page shows 4,140 tickets available, factor in students probably beyond their seating if they turn out like last time, and some walkups, we probably won't be turning folks away, but I think we'll see a strong 22k or so.

I think Jason Arkley writes that so I would say yes.

Then I guess that he is out for the season and Ingol is out for Buffalo.  Good news on Gerald Moore would be nice at this point.

I'm not sure where USA Today got that Ingol is out Saturday. He supposedly was back in practice Tuesday and Wednesday, so unless something changed today, it was looking like he was probable.

On the thought that teams want to stop TT from keeping the ball on the read option:  Well, maybe.  But if I'm the oppo, I want to keep it out of Beau's hands and I don't mind the chance to put a few pops on the leading qb.
