I'm all for boycotting, but what I'd really like to see is a BA.com "takeover" during an O$U game. Could you imagine 30+ attackers cheering against the Nuts in this guy's bar? I would pay to see that!

This is an awesome idea. It would blow that old mans mind.

Speaking of OSU fans the owner of Pawpurrs really likes his buckeyes. So much in fact he very rudely had me and friends kicked out of his bar for cheering on a Nebraska TD. He told me to come here, so i walked over and then he proceeded to say he didnt wanna hear any of that Sh*T and if we do it again we can leave. I of course didnt know the man was the owner so i told him no and continued drinking my blackout. He then screams Do you Know Who I Am? I again said no and he proclaimed over the whole bar that he is the Owner lol. Colorful words were then exchanged as i was escorted out of the bar. All for high fiveing my friend on a nebraska td.

63 Buckeye points, not sure you had much to cheer about, and he has the right to deny service.

He has the right to deny service if a customer is inebriated. He doesn't have the right to deny service if a customer is merely rooting for a team that isn't his choice. The owner is an idiot; nothing more need be said. Thanks for your 3rd post .... hope you do better in the future.

Haha.....now that's funny.....Jerry gets a BA award for that one.

Any budding lawyers want to take on this clear case of discrimination?

My only trips to Pawpurrs were for Court St Shuffles.  I've been ignoring that place since 1991.  It's been a D-bag congregation for at least 20 years.

I agree, I only go there if i happen to make it out before 9pm for primetime. Get two blackouts and then head out.

why would anyone got to Pawpurr's when The Pub is literally right next door? I walked by that bar a million times, and it's got a good name, but I NEVER wanted to go in and spend money and I could never figure out why. Now I know why.  The boycott will continue.

Maybe the next time they play a MAC school?  We tell him we are doing it because Ohio's conference needs the OOC wins.  Then he kicks out half the bar and we go to The Post with it.

I never liked Pawpurrs either. I think it should now be the destination of all "anti-OSU" fans for every gameday. Force him to empty his own bar.

I have a U of M shirt that I wear just once a year - to my elementary school in the heart of osu inc. country on the Friday before the UM v. osu inc.  game. I wear it, even though I'm not a Wolverine fan, to counterbalance all the scarlet and grey worn that day. I'm now thinking of wearing it on my next trip to Athens and taking a minute to walk in Pawpurrs for the first time in 2 or 3 decades (before it was Pawpurrs). One question first, however - how big is the owner?

Quiz time for the old timers: What was the bar in question called in the late 1970s/early 1980s?

Is the "Old Guy" referred to in there "LA Bob" - Ex Tony's B Keep years ago?

BTW - my earliest memory of Rosie's Phase 1 is September 1977 - my first time ever there - Kenny Kerr coming in and buying the whole bar a Stroh's. I hated Stroh's (still do) - but have ever since loved Kenny Kerr!
