I hate bringing up tOSU but they had to produce quite a few last minute heroics their last national championship year to remain unbeaten.  They won ugly a lot that year.  Winning ugly is a huge improvement over the years when we consistently lost games to teams that were no better or worse than us.

We could argue forever about who deserves what ranking but winning is the only thing that matters.

What QB is banged up? Not TT.  Anyone at the game, or who watched today could clearly see he was 100%.

I think that anyone who watched the game today could clearly see that while TT is much better he is still not 100%.  He routinely and smartly took action to not get hit getting out of bounds or sliding. This is not something that a 100% TT would do..even if he should do it more often that he used to)

#15 Texas and #17 Stanford both lost today and earned their 2nd losses.  At least Texas should drop out of the top 25 after that spanking.

Sorry, I could not see Ohio passing either team based on beating Akron and them losing to Oklahoma and Notre Dame.  No, Ohio is not better than Texas.

Texas will fall below us eventually, if not this week.  They will be lucky to go .500 the rest of the season.  They are 4-2, but might end up 7-5, or 6-6.

Also keep in mind that next week rankings most places will switch from AP to BCS. So, some computers seem to like us, the coaches haven't liked us quite as much, and who knows with the Harris.

Don't look now but Ohio A&M is having a hard time putting way Indiana, arguably the worst team in the B1G.

Someone mentioned Boise state needing to lose for Ohio to get in. Boise is not overwhelming anyone at the moment. Beat New Mexico by only 3 a couple weeks ago and then only beat Fresno 20-10 today.

New Mexico 3-3; Fresno 4-3.

Akron 1 - 6, Buffalo 1-5, UMass 0-6.

Boise St. may not be overwhelming but ......  we're not either.

Our opponents have an 11 - 33 combined record. That's a 25% winning percentage. Other than Penn State (4-2) all the others are Norfolk St. 2-5, Marshall 2-4, New Mexico St. 1-5, Akron 1-6,  UMass 0-6, Buffalo 1-5. These are crappy teams ...

If I had a vote...I wouldnt out us on the ballot. You just gotta hammer bad teams and we arent doing it.

But I am thrilled to be undefeated and hope we get in. The easy analysis is the TAMU/LTU loser opens up a spot for Texas Tech and we stay put at 26.

I would agree with that. The only way we get in is if the large majority of voters drop Texas out after their spanking today. But I could see TCU jumping us as well.

Sorry people but we really have no business being in the top 25 right now.

Our defense has been atrocious the last few weeks and we have been BARELY beating winless/one win teams. We should be trouncing those teams. Playing to the level of your opponent is not what top 25 team do.

I want us to be a top 25 as much as anyone else, but I just don't think we are right now.
Ohio A&M just closed out their trouncing of the ever explosive Hoosiers 52 - 49. Think their votes will suffer?

Honestly right now I'm more worried about trying to win the MAC East than being ranked. Kent would steamroll this team right now
So a loss to Kentucky is more impressive than a win over Penn State and Army's better than Marshall?

Best guess based on all of the action is that we'll be #24 in AP and #26 USA Today... However, the big one is the BCS poll since this is the first week of it. I think we're going to be #25 in that one.

And, if G. Moore returns the Cats can begin to edge away from the ditch, which, is right over there.  Per L.C.
