Great D so far, but the offense can't stall out now. Two straight promising drives just die at the Akron 30, just leaving points out there.

Also, why do refs in college keep letting defenses hit a sliding QB late every time they slide down? Completely baffled how that can not be a 15 yard penalty.

And now another awful offensive possession, did they think scoring 2 TDs early meant they could take the rest of the day off? Albin's play calling turned horrible and taking out Beau was stupid.

Sigh, Cats look to be allergic to the endzone

Really defense? Take away the first 2 drives and Akron is winning this game, just an embarrassing and pathetic 1st half.

And giving up 7 after the FG was really bad. 75 yards in 28 seconds. Bad late hit out of bounds contributing factor. Should have been 20 - 0; instead 20-7 with Akron receiving to start 2nd half.

Alright, here's the Ohio defense we've known to hate. Got to love the call to play 5 yards off a WR on a goal line situation.

I don't understand the defense on that TD at all. Akron had 3 wide outs, Ohio covered them with 2, forcing the Safety to try to cross from the center of the field to cover the guy in the corner, and he had no chance to get there. It wasn't the five yards off that was the problem - that guy was on his man, covering him, but no one was left to cover the last guy.

Also, nice knowing you Carl Jones. Hope he gets the boot from the squad.

Why does Albin call so many runs or roll outs to the short side? Tyler ran out of bounds as he had to chance to throw that one away.

EDIT: And now Akron will get the ball back after a dumb set of play calls by Albin. Love Tyler but he's not getting it done out there, Vick needs a turn.

That's going a little too far.

Lackluster offense to go with that defense that is spelled with a lower-case "d"

It would be interesting to chart the success rate - i'd guess it is comparable. If you always roll to the wide side, it makes things easy for the defense, so you have to do both.

Is Beau hurt? Not sure why one of the best RBs in the nation isn't getting any touches.

Wait for this series.  I'm expecting three Beaus in a row to start this drive.

Time to get Dez back there for the punt return, why is Clark catching that on the 2 yard line?

Boo Jackson reacts to Tyler Tettleton breaking his passing touchdown record.

Offense having success when giving it to Beau? Albin is so bad, no reason to spend the 2nd quarter without using him.

Missed start of 2nd half ... what happened with Jones? Personal foul? Ejected?

Beau is our engine. Gotta get him touches, use him to setup the play action.

I think that was eight Beaus to start, actually, though one was nullified due to penalty.

That drive not only was a TD, it took a heavy toll on the Akron D. That's what you like to see.

PF and ejected for throwing a punch. He's a senior and with a possible suspension from the MAC you have to wonder if Solich will further punish him.
