I love that picture with the caption "Unscripted Ohio."

That's a punch in the gut right to the members of the OSU administration if I've ever seen it.

I went out over lunch on a quest to pick up the magazine, but nobody had stocked the new one yet.  Not cool.  Cowtown probably blocked the publication when they realized there was a story involving a school in Ohio that wasn't the yucks.

I also went out over lunch and they're not on the shelves in Philly yet either.

Saw a post on the OUAA facebook page that there is also an OU article by Peter King about his Bobcat journey in this issue.

I've had an easier time finding unicorns and pterodactyls.  2 supermarkets, 4 drug stores, and one newsstand later, all I managed to find was two copies of last week's magazine at one CVS.  People wonder why print is dying.

I think you guys are early.

I asked at the local Kroger, and they told me the newstand / periodicals are updated on Tuesdays.

I think you gotta let the guy at the distributor get the magazine, too.

Exactly. The cover date is 10/15, so look for it in stores then. The cover dates are always Mondays, subscribers get them in the mail the Thursday before.

Went to Kroger no SI and then CVS in Richmond and they had the 10/8 Issue with Ed Hochuli, NFL ref on the cover but no Ohio article.

Just picked up my copy of SI today, which I might add will be stored with my Walter Lucket issue.
I thought the article was great.
They really played up Frank for how he turned the program around as well as how unjustified Nebraska was for his termination.
Some great pictures as welL.
I was personally pleased that we were not on the cover.

I enjoyed that.

I must add, I've won Ohio so many National Championships I feel somewhat dishonored when I walk past Peden and it doesn't have my name on it.

Those five pages have got to be the greatest recruiting tool this program could every wish for. (Well, short of an undefeated season, of course.)

I hope the office Xerox is smoking right now, making color copies to send out to all those future Bobcats...

It was a great article.  Even my wife, another OU alum (sorry, I know I'm not supposed to say OU but it I can't help it), who basically can't stand football or sports in any fashion, enjoyed the article, especially Peter King's sidebar.

It will be crazy tomorrow and I hope all of you that do attend have a GREAT TIME!  I have a daughter who's heavily involved in her high school's Homecoming festivities this weekend (in the parade, etc.) and since she's my last one and a Senior (p.s. she was just accepted into OU) I need to be home for it.  Next year I'll be down for sure!!!!

As always, GO OHIO!!!!!!

You can call the university OU as long as you aren't referencing athletics.

If anyone is interested in reading it as it is in the magazine instead of the google Docs version, here are some page scans I made:

finally found one in Westchester at Barnes & Noble, after no success yesterday.  Of course, I had to buy 3 copies.

one to read, one to save, and one to give away at an upcoming DC Alumni Chapter Gamewatch!

Well and good, but at four of five locations, I couldn't find last week's either, which is indicative of a larger issue.
