Bobcat fan or not, what kind of individual would want to get up Black Friday and go shopping?  I truly do enjoy shopping, but that day is when the crowd at stores looks exactly like a county fair.

No one shops on Black Friday anymore; it's too crowded.

If you're on this board and not a season ticket holder....well, you need to be one!

To borrow a line from Occupy Wall Street, we are "the 1%" when it comes to OU sports. If we, as the most vocal/passionate fans, aren't season ticket holders - who will be? As far as I'm concerned, if you are not a football and basketball season ticket holder, you lose all rights to complain about attendance, student support, marketing/ticket office shortcomings, etc. Don't be part of the problem...be the solution!

I don't care if you live in Alaska. It doesn't matter if you can only attend one game. If it's within your financial means, man-up and at least buy a family pack. Donate your tickets to a favorite local charity...I'm sure they would be happy to use them.

I realize the vast majority of us have been season ticket holders for MANY years, but it irks me a bit when I see all of these posters attempting to grab our free tickets (that we earned as season ticket holders). If I move to California tomorrow, you better believe I'm not dropping my seats!

OK...Officially off the soapbox!

Hey, some of us are 22-year-old recents grads who don't have a STEM degree where they pay ridiculous starting salaries. I did join the Bobcat Club, and I do intend on buying season tickets when I move up a little.

I get that...like I said, only if it's within your financial means. I get being a recent graduate - I've been there before (albeit long, long ago)!

But, there are plenty of folks out there that could afford it but don't. If you're not willing to spend a couple bucks per game to help support the cause, you need to seriously consider it.

Right inside Gate #1 - next to the gear kiosk. Today there was a raffle table there, raffle entries first half then they start giving the tickets out at halftime (not sure why, but they were not giving them out yet during the first half). They have a checklist w/all season ticket holder names they reference to check you off after you get your tickets.

OT: My favorite Yogi quote:

"Always go to other people's funerals, otherwise they won't go to yours."

As a Cub fan, I really hate this quote from 1969 during the latter days of pennant race:

"It ain't over till it's over."

But when quoting Yogi always remember:

"I really didn't say everything I said."

To those who ordered these tix over the internet, and did not pick them up in person, have you received them yet?  Just curious.  I have not.

Can someone explain to me how you order the tickets online? My uncle is a season ticket holder and is not going to attend the game. Myself and a few other fellow Bobcats would like to use his tickets but he can't figure out where he needs to log in.

He would also like them to be mailed to my house. Is that possible?

The free ticket thing was great.....I had already purchased tickets for my son and I but a buddy of mine was a last minute addition to OUr crew.....I made him a paper "I Need a Ticket" sign and he was deluged by free tickets.

Here's a $ making scheme idea for the athletics dept - put a Hot Dog Club line in at all the concessions and sell passes for $10.........................

Make up for lost revenue from free ticket give aways, and, lost sales in the slow regular concessions lines......................

I just received my tickets to the Ball St game but I am not a season ticket holder. When I saw the posting I went ahead an ordered them, and then noticed it was a bonus for 'season ticket holders'.
Was this under the honor system? Did I misunderstand something?

I have six tickets that I won't be able to use for this game.  PM me if you can use them.  I'm in Cincinnati so if you are close by, I can get them to you quickly or would be happy to drop them in the mail.

So the free tickets were a glitch in the system. I had gone on to buy tickets for Kent State game - it gave me the free ones but that was a glitch and was only for season ticket holders. If I had not called today I would never have known. They are telling me to call Kent State to order tickets as it is not sold out.

I don't have a problem with them not being free but a problem with OU not knowing what a big glitch this was.

If anyone has some free ones, would love them. Otherwise, I'll go up to Kent and buy them there.

Anyone with those free tix that isn't using 'em? I'm planning to go (there are three of us) and would love to fill your seats if you're unable to go. If so, please PM me.

Edit: I've got some headed my way now... Thanks!
