This melt down started before the Fiami game. Tops on my list to go: OC, Special teams, strength and conditioning coaches.

One of the things that makes this program what it is, is our stability. So you will see no changes unless one moves on voluntarily.

Lets face it with the way this team played the last five games a whole bunch of people should be doing some soul searching.  If this staff thinks this team was well prepared and executed with very few mental and physical errors, I think we all agree they are wrong.  If this staff thinks this team played hard and with pride on every down, i think they are mistaken.  Sure there were injuries but this also exposed that we do not/can not recruit enough qulity players.  Bottom line is after 8 years we regressed this year.  I suppose opart of it is the relative parity of the MAC.  It leaves no room for error.

Good news is there is always next year!  Hopefully they will come back with a renewed sense of urgency and forget all the early 2012 season press clippings.

That stability is also what holds back this program

Frank Solich has about 15 years of track record upon which to judge him.

This is him. He's going to win 8-10 games per year. He's going to do it his way. Some of it will frustrate the fans. He's not going to throw anyone overboard. I'm okay with this.

Track record is beat up on a bunch of PUDS, our schedule was a joke. And has been a joke. What's the record v teams with winning records? I know in MACC and Bowl games it's what 1-6 since being at OHIO.

You mistook my post as a defense of Frank Solich.

I'm saying he is what he is.

Temple is pretty much the only >.500 team we beat on a consistent basis. Take them off our schedule, and now what?

We have been pretty stable winning 7 to 9 games and not winning MAC titles while having 2 to 3 losses to inferior opponents. Lets shake things up and see if we can get to the next level

Next year is a critical year for this program. They return a lot of skilled players and has a lot of returning players coming off injuries and they also built some depth.

I agree with John.  Injuries decimated this team, especially on defense.  I'm hopeful about next year and think this team can take the next step provided they get whatever it is that is bothering Tettleton straightened out.  He hasn't been right since that loss to the foreskins..  I also hope the Huskies beat the hell out of Can't next week. Never liked the Flushes, never will.

Watch out what you wish for.  I remember when folks said about the same thing about Coach Hess.  Then we got Cleve and PaPaL.  Right, Doc?

I remember down years too. 0-11. the misery of the triple threat option. We've climbed out of that hole. It would be nice to take the next step. I would like think Frank is the guy to do that. But, he has be willing to make the next step. I'm tired of hearing about why this team didn't do it. I want to see something change. When my wife can sit and make fun of the play calling week in and week out while we watch in columbus than the play calling sucks. And something needs to change.  it seems like there is no fire to this team. some accountability would be nice.  A good start would be showing some assistant coaches the door.

If Tim Albin is still OC next year I will not renew my season tickets for the first time in 15 years.

Until today, I have tried to avoid the emotion of this mess.

Agree with many of these points. I also can't fault anyone for criticizing game plan, play calling, execution, lack of effort and motivation. What I have seen the last several weeks is beyond acceptable. I can't imagine how OHIO is now viewed by not supporters and alumni. I can't say I recall a teammate or watching someone with TT's recent condition/approach. I will say it again...something is really going on that is tough to explain. I pray that it is nothing serious for him or a family member. But it is something.....

Whatever it is, we need someone to lead this team out of the ditch. Next year I can see that be Carrie, BB, Hughes, Moore, etc.

We do have proven talent back next year and I agree with many here, it will be devastating to waste that opportunity. Someone show some accountability within the coaches, players and/or administration. Do your job.

It's terribly sad that it has come to this for some, but I feel the same way even though I'm not a season ticket holder.  There is absolutely no excuse why a no huddle offense consistently is called for delay of game penalties.  In fact, no more than 25 seconds should ever come off the play clock if the Bobcats are going to run this kind of offense.

I think you skipped out on Coaches Kappes and Burke, no?  And then we kept Kappes as recruiting coordinator for several more years, did we not?

Difference is Kapp was an interm coach upon the sudden passing of Coach Hess. Many of us felt Kapp should have retained the opportunity. But Kapp to many is Ohio Football.

We sure have turned into a fickle bunch.  Six weeks ago (seems like a lifetime), Coach Solich was the toast of this board and the toast of the town.  We lose 4 out of 5 games and now Coach Solich is the worst thing Ohio's seen since Knorr, Lichtenburg, etc.

Seriously?  C'mon, we're better than that.  Where did our perspective go?  Coach Solich is the same coach now as he was when we were 7-0 and could do no wrong.  Is he perfect?  No, that coach doesn't exist, and if he did exist he wouldn't be coaching at a school like Ohio.  Ohio just had the misfortune of suffering a ton of injuries, and I mean ton, during a period when the rest of the top half of the MAC seriously improved its play.  We ARE deeper this year but no team, especially no team in a league like the MAC, can withstand the number of injuries Ohio's had and still maintain a championship level of play.

I have a feeling we'll be singing Coach Solich's praises again next year.  Just have a little faith.  Coach Solich hasn't turned into an idiot who couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag.

We're not calling out Frank.  We're calling out the mediocrity he has surrounded himself with.

Solich is fine.  We need to get rid of the offensive and defensive coordinators.
