CUSA is another one of those conferences where the schools have little in common except they were unhappy with their previous situation, or thought they could get something better by moving.  We talk about how difficult it is getting visiting team crowds in the MAC; it would be MUCH worse if we had to travel to Rice, UTEP, Southern Miss or UAB, and vice versa. And CUSA has gotten to be a much weaker conference.  Last year they had only five teams that were bowl eligible.  Four of those are bolting (UCF, ECU, Tulsa, SMU).  They're getting three back (LaTech, MTSU, WKU), but the overall level of teams isn't improving -- and may be getting worse.  Plus we get nice exposure being on one of the ESPNs, even during the week, and we'll have some games on Fox SportsNet that may be picked up in other markets; I was in Vegas over Thanksgiving in 1999 or 2000 and saw the Terd game on Fox out there.  It would be a real dropoff being on CBS Sports Net.  A jump to CUSA would likely be a search for greener pastures and finding spinach ("Holiday Inn").

And, he speaks for the Ohio Administration.  This is just as if you'd heard in from the mouth of President McDavis.  He always checks this board before making any sports-related decision.

What a relief!  I was thinking that perhaps McDavis was making decisions without this board's collective wisdom.

I didn't have prunes today, but I sometimes think you have an excess of ascorbic acid in your system.

This is very offensive. I take great pains to include many fruits in my diet.

Yes, but ODing on ascorbic acid can be much more effective than prunes!

I would also like to apologize to other vitamins. I enjoy vitamins from all over the alphabet.
