Miami 70
Marshall 30

Akron is a Community College. Wouldn't know how to understand someone choosing Akron over Ohio (if there was not a scholarship involved). Seriously...I would be absolutely dumbfounded by that decision.

Ohio State? Nope. Mostly because we rarely play them...and when we do...it's mostly on their terms. Plus...Ohio State does not see us as a rival. Clapping with one hand is stupid.

I agree w/the % breakout - and the o$u statements. Being despicable does not on it's own necessarily a rival make........('Kron another great example).

Look at this way:

We have an entire thread dedicated to how much we think Miami sucks. Nobody, not even Marshall, should be ahead of them.

Until a couple of years ago, we didn't even play Marshall on a regular basis after they moved to C-USA. For comparison, I would look at us like Michigan. They have a main rival in Ohio State, and then Michigan State and Notre Dame (Minnesota also if you want to get really technical). But which one does everyone care about? Ohio State.

The sting of a Marshall loss doesn't hurt as bad as a Miami loss. In any sport. I don't care if we're playing tiddlywinks, backgammon, yahtzee, lacrosse, football, MarioKart; it doesn't matter. The answer is Miami.

How did everyone allocate the "rivalry points?"

60 to Miami, 30 to Marshall, 10 to Kent State...

...and for clarification, I was asked a question like "How likely are you to be in a relationship with a Miami cheerleader or student?" something to that extent...

Sorry but Miami should fall in ratings.  Homecoming at Miami 3 years ago, NFL prospect golden boy QB at the helm and they put 4000 people in the stands (25%Ohio)  They are magority hockey  fans now.  Forget the good ole days when the games ment something to them; that is history.  They are pretenders.  If they do not consider OHIO rivals than all the wishin and hopin and sayin they are OUr rival doesn't make it so.

So how did you rank the rivals?
