Buffalo looked pretty competent actually. Moved the ball pretty well despite just 2 offensive TDs (they had a drive end at osu's 1 and didn't get any points out of it). Mack is a beast, but we knew that already. The jury is still out on the rest of the defense though.

osu definitely did not look like the #2 team in America. They had cramping issues all game, but the heat didn't seem to affect Buffalo as much.

Watching Terd/Fiami (apparently my cable package includes CBSSN now). One quarter in, and these teams look like crap and ambergris, respectively. There has been one offensive play of substance....a 45 yard pass by Fiami to the Terd 5 that Fiami turned into a TD 3 plays later. Terd only has 11 yards offense. Fiami is trying to use Boucher as an option QB, which he is not.

OSU had no one who could handle Mack.  The rest of the D looked vanilla.

Not impressed a bunch with their QB.....but he can throw the quick hitters.

Oliver looks like the same decent RB from last year.....and Buffalo just may be a load at home.

We're also getting CBSSN on DirecTV (ch. 221).  Don't know if it's part of the basic package now that NBCSN is (they used to be SPEED) or if it's a freebie for the Labor Day weekend.

Can't say much for Fiami's receivers either; just dropped two on-target passes.

Halftime of Terd/Fiami. Terd looks better.....still not the OHMYGODBESTOFFENSEEVER!!!!! that they're supposed to be, but they put together 3 decent drives (2 touchdowns, and a missed FG at the end of the half). Their defense appears to be based on a "please don't catch it please don't catch it please don't oh thank God he didn't catch it" philosophy, b/c Fiami is getting open but has a severe case of the dropsies.

Fiami's offense is horrible. Both their scores were set up by long throws where the WR beat the defender deep. Other than those 2 plays, they have looked horrible.

Oh! We almost had a phantom whistle controversy too. Fiami WR appeared to fumble, Terd picked it up and ran it back for a TD. A whistle was clearly heard on the broadcast (even the announcers noted it), but in all of the replays it was absent. The announcers said something along the lines of, "well, maybe that whistle was closer to the press box than the field...." Replay ended up calling it an incomplete pass.

NBCSN is also in free preview.

Agreed. With a MAC team vs. a B1G team, mistakes by the underdog can't be made. Buffs made too many (delay penalty on 4th down, hands to the face on Mack) that cost them. Otherwise, this may have been a little more interesting.

Terd offense is rolling now. Fiami D is gassed, and Fiami's O can't spell them. This game is over.

How has someone not put a stop to that yet?? I wouldn't think it could be that hard to find the guy who'd doing it...

You're right.  NBC used to be Versus.  It's interesting, though, that DTV has moved all three into the 200s instead of the 600s where they were.  It's nearer to the ESPNs.

They should move the Big Ten Network to the 200's too. The 600's should be the Hunting, Horse racing and FSN, Root and Comcast Channels.

They could do it if they moved shopping channel x out of the 200's and 300's.

Only one game but based on Mack's domination of the mighty Bucks it will be a travesty if a Buck defensive player makes all-american and Mack does not.  Mack clearly the best defensive player in the Shoe yesterday.

But only 2-7 vs 1A schools and 1-6 vs AQs.

Still we didn't lose to any 1AA schools like teams from the PAC 12, Big Twelv and AAC did.  Came close, but that only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

They have all the regional sports channels in the 600s, and BTN isn't national...yet.

I wish they would move those junk channels out of the 200s & 300s and put them up past the Weather Channel.  I'm not sure they're even using the 400s.

Not sure if Marshall deseves a derogatory reference, even in jest; on the other hand, "Fiami" seems appropriate...
