The game is lost in the trenches.  We are getting beat badly on both sides of the ball.  Let's hope this team improves by the end of the season.

This is exactly correct. If the offensive line was winning, Beau would be getting more that 1-2 yards. If the defensive line was winning, Bridgewater wouldn't have all day. Both will improve as the season goes on.I see some bring spots, but I see a lot to work on. As Solich said after the scrimmages "we are not a good football team right now".

U N I N S P I R E D.   P A T H E T I C.

Reminds me of the O$U game in '10.  Pryor ripped us apart that day.  Also reminds me of the day Heisman candidate Don Strock brought Virginia Tech to Athens.  They put up 50 in an easy win.

The bright spot is that this is the best team we'll face all season.

But Ohio had better shape up or the rest of the season could be ugly.

At least Solich doesn't have to worry about finding things to work on this week.

Chuckle of the day:  Tesitore and Millen were discussing the character differences between Bridgewater and Manziel and Tesitore said "We don't want to turn this into a Bridgewater love fest."  Then they run a montage of Bridgewater poses at each commercial break.

As I said 30 minutes ago put in Vick and Vick hits a deep one. Wouldn't be suprised to see Vick start the next game.

2nd most points given up during the Solich era (BSU hit us for 52 last season).  Most by an OOC opponent (Troy had 48 in the NO Bowl).

Matt Green.  Right first name; wrong last one.

Kudos to Kevin Bass on KO returns.  His pirouette should be a play of the day and he showed skills and toughs on several returns today.

If they keep playing like this, less than that, but they won't. This game is a perfect example of why it helps to have a lot of returning starters on the line.

The Browns have no kicker on their roster, and they're in better shape than we are. Those were some horrendous FG's

I know we have been spoiled with Weller the last few years, but is Green really the best we can do?

I was having Brooks Rossman flashbacks (shanking a 21 yarder at BG, missing a short one to tie Marshall in 2004, etc.) I know he did OK at KSU after he moved on, but he sucked here.

The lines.

They'll improve.

No need to get extreme.  No need to write off the whole season based on today.  Today a more experienced, bigger team beat us at scrimmage.  How many new starters did we have on the O and D lines?

This season is far from over.

That's true, Monroe.  But they have a helluva lot to do by next Saturday.

This game reminded me of the 2010 osu game. The pre-game talk indicated that the coaches didn't think we had a chance, and the game plan was basically get out as quick as possible. T2 was either explicitly instructed to not risk injury or it's lingering in the back of his mind. Basically, if a MAC title is all that matters, then don't worry about the games that don't contribute to winning a MAC title.

(Not saying I agree with that approach, just that's the impression I got).

Beat North Texas.

What was wrong with Tettleton today? Seriously, he looked bad.

Was able to get his feet wet early in the game, and forced to play behind all day doesn't help.

And when are we going to stop running 5-10 WR screens per game. At least run those through Daz.

Did Tettlteon ever once fake the handoff and keep it for the run?  Woulda like to have seen him do that once or twice...make Louisville have to defend that.

The one especially happy feeling I got today: when I realized that Bridgewater will be a very high draft pick...and therefore be drafted by someone like Buffalo or Cleveland. There he will spend many futile years, casting away his health and youth before being dumped for a coke machine. Muwahahahahaha revenge is a dish best served cold.

I was pretty upset, sitting in that inferno, watching Ohio get waxed, the 110 getting seven seconds of performance time...THAT BLASTED TRAIN WHISTLE WHICH HAS TAKEN THE HEARING FROM MY RIGHT EAR... THE DJ ON THE PA PLAYING PITBULL...

And then a really cool UL fan and I had a great talk going back to our cars about the city, him caddying at Valhalla, And I realized its a non-conference game against one of the best QBs in the country and that we'll be in friendly Athens next week and that sulking sucks and it's football and it's back.

North Texas will not know what hit them. The fury of 1,000 train whistles will be upon them.

He is a lot smarter than Ivo, but I have to agree with the lack of confidence in his dual threat decision making. He looks to run the ball with the same passion that Ivo had for taking the ball strong to the hoop. Something went wrong at Miami last year and his game has looked different since then. I hope he gets it back or else it could be a long season.
