Cato's a fine qb but he has no arm, no juice on his long balls. They sail and gave our guys time to catch up, break up the passes. Also our refusal inability to pressure him allows a high completion %.

Hey threw great balls last night, at least two of his long balls were perfect throws, but spoiled by excellent defensive effort just tipping the ball away.

If they were perfect throws they would have been completed. It was perfect coverage that defended a great pass. A perfect pass by definition cannot fall incomplete.
Two long balls down our sideline were perfect throws in that only the Marshall player could catch them. One was barely tipped away on a leaping defensive play and the other was a DPI. If either ball is anyplace else they are picks. And no not every perfect throw ends up in a completion as you so simply state.

That simply makes no sense.  The intention of a thrown pass is to complete the pass.  A pass barely tipped was not a perfectly placed pass.  A perfectly placed pass CAN'T be tipped because it was PERFECT.  How can an incomplete tipped pass be perfect?   The fact that is was tipped makes it imperfect by definition.   A penalty negates the whole play because the play is flawed by the defender so we can't honestly see the result.  Throwing a ball where only your receiver can catch is what a quarterback should do.  Maybe they were ALMOST perfect throws.  To simply put it my definition of perfect is different.  When I use the word I actually expect a perfect result or at least a completion.  A completed pass is way more effective over an incomplete one.  Cato under threw more than just two deep balls.  Go over to herdnation they were not happy with his performance either.

I think Cato is a good quarterback.  I am no expert because I don't have the time to study hours of quarterback tape and I won't get to see every quarterback in FBS this season.  I guess he is in the top 40% of FBS.  I will take TT with the game on the line over Cato.  I am not saying that because TT plays for Ohio.  TT has made game winning drives on the road (Penn State) and in bowl games (Potato).  Cato has not won a big game or had the late game winning drive on the road.   Between the ears I was not impressed.  Last week our guy TT had a stupid penalty and people were giving him all kinds of grief.  A three year starter should not be yelling at coaches and making some of the mental mistakes Cato did to be considered elite.

Is it too much to show some class? We don't win without 4 TO's by Marshall. Cato is damn good. I'll celebrate but Marshall gave us all we wanted. We have a lot of work to do yet. Our ground game was non-existent. Take away Vick's yards and we average 1 yard per carry.

Sorry, but you reap what you sow.   Some teams and fanbases deserve to be shown a modicum of respect, not  Marshall.  As for the "well, if it weren't for the 4 turnovers we wouldn't have beaten them", are you kidding me?

No, not kidding you. Cato > Tettleton. Throwing accuracy. Running ability. Any facet of the QB position and he wins hands down. Did you watch the game? Marshall posters here engage in typical lively exchanges. Sure, some may incite Bobcat posters but some of us respond in like manner. Medina Cat tonight had 2 pathetic posts. Guess I prefer to say "Good game Marshall" rather than trash them. Show me the many posts that suggest their fanbase is what you imply it to be ..... we see the same posters here year after year who are decent posters.

So what if Cato is a better QB? It's a team game and turnovers are part of the game.  It's not just unlucky bounces.   And we destroyed them on time of possession. It's not like we pulled a rabbit out of the hat.

I don't understand some of the things I'm reading. Cato does everything better than Tettleton. Well, almost everything. And we wouldn't have won without their turnovers. Like there should  be an asterik next to the win because we didn't turn over the ball and they did. Sorry. I don't get it.
