The league is going nowhere and none of the members are BCS quality attendance wise or resource wise. Unfortunate but true.  Just a fact..

What you are trying to say that you've been waiting since 1966 the year you became a Bobcat fan for the MAC to develop into a second Big Ten level conference? Did you think the MAC would have a tie-in to the Cotton Bowl by now? The MAC was designed originally to be a mid major Ohio Division I athletic conference. Western Michigan and Butler were the only non-Ohio schools in the conference in its early years. Its not too different from the way the Colonial Athletic started in Virginia. The MAC was happy to be able to eat at the big boy table and send its champ to a bowl game when the NCAA split into Division 1, 2 and 3. It was enough to be at the top level. A lot of schools with MAC like numbers felt the same way and moved up to the top level. None of these schools will ever have BCS quality resources and attendance. They would rather have the recognition and money that comes with belonging to an FBS conference over FCS purgatory with no TV exposure or revenue sharing. FBS is higher ground than FCS. That is just a fact.

Then you're not reading everything because he's given a bunch of suggestions.

Why are you so angry? I have a different point of view. And I'm usually about the biggest O H I O guy here.

Almost no significant victories in the last year and a half and quite a recent collapse--those are pretty much facts. So, 7-5 is no balm.

Don't blame me. Blame the team's performance.

Monroe. You should not have to ask. He was quite clear. How predictable. Monroe. You might be the biggest donor here and that might get you through lots of Ohio doors, but, here you constantly disrespect those with the different point of view. Your favorite game is not football, it is the blame game. How predictable. Should Carrie or Foster set Ohio records vs UMASS they will be meaningless because, well, you know .... How predictable. Should a UMASS player make an amazing play there will be no credit to them just that Ohio made him look like an All American. How predictable. Oh. sorry, nearly forgot, thank you for your service.

What I find tiring about his posts is that he regurgitates the same stuff over and over and usually on multiple threads. But I never see any constructive criticism nor any ideas on what we might do to turn things around. When it's all negativity it gets old real quick. And in response to him ... I'm not angry, not sure where/how he read that from my post. I think he gets defensive when someone questions him and then goes back on the attack as if his opinion is not only correct, but the only one worthy of consideration.

I think we have all gotten sick of regurgitating the same thing over and over.   The unfortunate thing is that I believe we all know what the problems seem to be.  What has frustrated us is that nothing has been done to develop a countermeasure to that problem.  So we simply restate the same obvious thing over and over...

Looking at the stats would make you think we shouldn't have much problem with UMass.  They're in the top half of D1A in only five areas: punt returns (19), red zone defense (37), passing defense (38), penalty yds (38) and penalties (40).  They're 90+ in nearly all the major categories.  But they also have a big O line and our D has had problems with those this year.  If we have our heads in the game, we should win easily.  If not, look for a lousy afternoon.
