I'm so jaded from the inequities of the FBS system that I don't even watch AQ games anymore. Don't care about what happened in AL or MI today and I'm not going to give them another tuned in TV set to contribute to their enorm-o media contracts.

And then there's this quote from the Auburn AD-

"An SEC team can't get left out of the (championship game) with one loss," Jacobs said. ... it would be a disservice to the nation if we got left out,"

A disservice to the nation?? I wish I had more than 2 hands so I give him more than 2 middle fingers.

Love Ohio football, like MACtion, tolerate the G5, HATE the rest of it.

Too bad you take that stance. I only root for one team, Ohio. I watch a lot of games. Today's slate of games was fantastic. I missed the OSU-Michigan 2nd half because I was in the Convo, but the rest of the top 25 matchups were fantastic entertainment for me once I got home. I had no rooting interests so I was able to just enjoy the drama.

As much as I want to believe the MAC is giving us good football to watch, I am there and realize its not that good right now. MACtion has been pretty weak this year across the board.

youd rather watch a bunch of guys collecting pay checks rather than what happened today on the Plains, in the Big House, at UNC, etc etc?

There are only four NFL teams that have Bobcats on their 53-man rosters -- Cards (Zastudil); Bears (Cohen); Panthers (Mitchell); and Colts (Brazil) -- and they don't get much airtime around here.  So if we really want to see Bobcats here, MACtion is the best place.

I don't care for the AQs that much.  Too many of them are like that guy from the SEC.  Non-AQ games are usually more entertaining.

Dom Tiberi is convinced that O$U will be #2 this week, but I wouldn't count on it.  As much trouble as they had vs Mich today, Auburn will likely jump to the #2 spot.

Auburn should be #1 after grabbing a win like that over Alabama. Somewhere in the Top 2 at least. The voters are going to be all over this one.

Great calls!

I know I'm a bit of a broken record, but I don't think its going to matter after MSU beats OSU in Indy next week.

All-in-all -every spot is up for grabs.

There is no way anyone is giving Ohio State a first place vote and doubtful FSU or Auburn pick up less than second place votes.

Apparently the voters disagree.  They got 4 first place votes in the coaches poll and 5 in the Harris poll, they are #2 in both.

Since this is all they were been talking about on ESPN this morning, I will say nothing before this year should matter.  I don't care how many games in a row OSU has own or how many straight SEC champs have gone.  If you look at the non conference schedules of each team, there's no difference.  That's the only part of the schedule you can control, and as we know these are done years in advance.  (Except when a team backs out). None of the teams can control their in conference schedule.

FSU - Bethune Cookman, Idaho, Nevada, Florida (19-30)
OSU - FAMU, SD State, Buffalo, Cal (19-29)
Auburn - Western Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Arkansas State, Washington State (combined 21-27)

None of those OOC schedules are very good. I agree OSU escaped yesterday, but I also don't hear anyone talking about how Auburn needed a miracle just to beat Georgia even before the play last night.  Just my opinion, "resume" as a tie breaker I understand, but undefeated > than a loss to a team that three other teams beat.

of course my opinion and $5 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks lol

The Buckeyes did have Vanderbilt on the schedule this year but Vanderbilt canceled and they had to add Florida International. When is the last time an SEC team has come north to play a Big Ten team? Most of the Big Ten bowl games are in SEC territory. Next year we'll have the 4 team playoff but I would argue for any unbeaten team from one of the major conferences over a 1 loss SEC team.

I'm proud to admit that I do.  Came across my TAPE of last year's Penn St game over the weekend.  Picture quality might not be as good as a DVR but we won again just the same.
