I've seen taylor price and lavon brazile...this group of receivers does not have either!

I don't think we're disagreeing. I already put Foster behind Brazill and Price, and Todd Snyder as well. Still, he's in the top 5 receivers of all time for Ohio, and that's not bad. Will he get drafted? No, I don't think so, but I'm sure he'll probably get a free agent contract. I also think he'd start for any MAC team, but as good as Brazill and Price, no.

As for Cochran, to me he compares with Scott Mayle, and he wasn't a bad receiver. Scott even appeared in an NFL game or two, if I recall. To me, Waters compares to Dunlop or McCrae,  again, not bad receivers. How do these groups compare?

2005 - Mayle (21/338), Fitzgerald (18/228), Norwood (11/96) [Everson]
2006 - Nwokocha (11/113), Mayle (10/155), Norwood (10/94) [Everson]
2007 - Price (33/464), Nwokocha (25/361) Brazill (16/201) [Bower/T3]
2008 - Price (51/694), Brazil (34/384), Garrett (24/290) [Jackson/T3]
2009 - Brazill (53/702), Price (52/735), McCrae (33/564) [T3/Jackson]
2010 - McCrae (35/505), Dunlop (27/387), Goulet (25/388) [Jackson]
2011 - Brazill (74/1146), Dunlop (43/586), Foster (30/352) [TT}
2012 - Foster (59/659), Bussey (37/313). Futrell (28/422)  [TT]
2013 - Foster (57/769), Waters (32/446), Cochran (30/614) [TT]

I think we'd agree that the 2008 group is tough to beat, at least in terms of potential, with 2 future NFL drafts and a future CFL star, though the output wasn't that high. The 2009 and 2011 groups were probably the best two. I'd say that the 2013 group is better than the 2012, 2010, or 2005-2007, though. Thus, it's not the best group ever, but it's not bad.

This team clearly has issues., and it clearly has some positions that are not as good as in the past. WR may not have the NFL draft choices of the last few years, but it's not the primary cause of the problems this year. If the running game had been working, and TT had a bit more time, I'm sure their numbers would have been even better. I called it a "solid" position, and I'll stand by that. I wish I could say the same for the other positions.

You all see how he does that without calling out players by name. That way you don't have to fear running into players parents at games.

There is no way I'm going to call out individual players or coaches, because I'm not in a position to do that. I'm just a spectator, and I have no access to the inside information to know what the core problem is. As spectators it is often easy to look and think we see the problem, but it is rarely as simple as it looks. Instead what we see is more likely to be a symptom than the problem itself. Some kinds of problems can be solved by team leadership. Some kinds can be solved by position coaches. Other yet at the head coaching level. Some can be solved mid-season. For others the solution will happen after the season, before next season.

Maybe he did pack it in. Here is TT's quote Quarterback Tyler Tettleton had different thoughts, saying that no matter what has happened over the last month, nothing could tarnish the success of the senior class.

“What we’ve been able to do here is what nobody else has done,” Tettleton said. “If you look around and see everything that’s going up here, it’s because of us and because of this coaching staff.”

His work is done in his mind.

I think you're reading too much into that.

Will he tweet how disappointed he is that someone will be wearing his number next year?

So sorry he let you down, but, somehow along the way he managed to post the best, the second best, and third best years for quarterbacks in Ohio's long football history. Just saying.

Never let me down! That was more of a slam on DJ and how he acted on Twitter when he found out they re-used his number.

For many of us, there isn't even a "maybe"...

But hats off for at least being able to pull one out today. I seriously thought we would lose to UMass given our recent tendencies.

Today we saw him do a bunch of stuff he hasn't done since early in the season.  He carried out fakes really well, sprinting out or feigning passing after handing off.  He ran a couple bootlegs and ran away from defenders for positive yardage.  He had a 30-yd run to inside the UMass 10 that had to be his longest run of the year.  Didn't see any of the stuff that we've discussed the past six weeks or so.  Maybe the two quick TDs to start the game helped.
