No increase in tO$U gear on campus. Which means there are still too many students wearing tO$U gear. I have been trying to confront people like this recently. Ohio has a great student fanbase but there are still too many clowns blindly rooting for tO$U.

At least for the time being 34 - 24 may solve that problem.

Actually, OSU is already on top of it.  Well sort of.  They are actively in a lawsuit with another tshirt manufacturer headquartered in Columbus:

http://dockets.justia.com/docket/ohio/ohsdce/2:2012cv00662/155950

One of the most interesting bits is one of the designs listed as "potentially infringing" is "O-H-I-O"

Somebody please tell me TO$U doesn't have a trademark on "O-H-I-O".  (While I'm at it, somebody please tell me there hasn't been a considerable increase in TO$U gear being worn around campus in Athens in the past week - though if you do, I'll be shocked.)

As far as I can tell they don't have that trademark although they do have one that is the people doing the arm spelling thing.

Regardless, they can claim infringement on anything "that makes you think of Ohio State" including "Go Bucks".

"Bucks" by the way is trademarked by the Millwaukee Bucks, not that that would stop the idiots from OSU.

All I know is that my sides still hurt from the deep, medicinal gut-laughter I enjoyed while watching MSU pull away. There were not enough camera shots of mourning red-clad idiots, for my taste. Broadcast gets graded down for that.

and of course the real entertainment comes from the fanbase as they question if UM has lost his drive and passion for the game, which Defensive coaches need to be fired and blame some refs for last night.....while no one questions the schedule and preparation. http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=145&f=3154

I wonder how many folks on this ^^^ board have actual alumni, employment, kids that attend type ties to the U and how many have never ever stepped foot on campus for anything. If it is like the Western Ohio folk I work with, I suspect the loudest complainers have the least actual direct relationship to the U.

What was the line on this game?  The numbers should have had the line at zero or in MSU's favor.

VS common Big Ten opponents this is the points allowed by both teams (O$U first quoted)

41 vs 6 (michigan)
14 vs 28 (indinana)
24 vs 14 (iowa)
0 vs 0  (purdue)
and
35 vs 3 (illinois)

If good pitching and timely hitting is the recipe for a baseball champ than all the smart money should have been on MSU with their outstanding defense (especially during pass plays) and their ability to get enough offense when needed to prevail.

I should be happier today than I already am with the game results but if I'd have put some dough on it.....

MSU did the Big Ten the best thing that could have happened... It kept the Bucks from getting embarrassed by  giving up 50+ points to FSU--though O$U may have scored in the 40's.

Looked at one A&M fanboy forum where there were different threads wanting to fire the OC, the DC and the DB coach.  Didn't see any, yet, that wanted to fire the HC, but with a bowl loss I'm sure we'll see that too.  There was also anguish expressed that they were losing a lot of talent due to graduation and/or the NFL next year and that it'll be several years before they will contend for a spot in the new playoff system.  It was almost enough to make you want to cry.

El's post will make a very nice holiday gift for any columbus fans.

And we routinely want to fire the OC, the Special Teams Coach and the Strength Coach, so you really like sounding like the Scarlet lemmings? Our fan base is no different! They melt down after a loss, you guys melt down after a loss, they want to fire people you guys want to fire people, they blame refs, you guys blame refs. This is what keeps me entertained, many of you are exactly what you hate!

But, we haven't had a 24-game winning streak either.

NO one ever claimed to be different. Consistency across message boards is predictable....as is the trait you exhibit every time you come here and stand up for the Bucknuts. YOu always jump at the opportunity....so predictable.

The big difference here is that most folks on THIS board have been on campus, attended a game or have some kind of tie to OHIO whereas the fans on those forums that are the loudest are the bleating masses with absolutely no connection to the U.

For the record, I hate them because they sued us in an attempt to prevent us from using our rightful name, and yet they still lay claim to our name while at the same time getting angry at the notion of a fat oaf in Michigan calling them by the name over which they sued us.  All other reasons pale in comparison to that reason of hatred.

I was surprised they didn't start calling for the end of a championship game two season into the format.

Never said anything about the name. But I enjoy those criticizing their boards for the exact same things people on our board do

Got to love the audacity of Bucknuts fans. Nothing is sacred. Just slather the name on anything and continue the marketing juggernaut

borna, maybe this is in recognition that Indiana has more buckeye trees than does Ohio.  Oh, the shame of it!
