Perfect set up for the Cats.  Glad they're in the Bowl but weather looks bad the next week or two.  Then to St. Pete and the warmer sun.  I don't think the IPF is ready is it?  Other options for practice?

Tropicana Field is actually in the middle of some pretty major renovations. Most of the changes are happening behind where they construct the temporary bleachers. I was there on Friday, and took some photos of what they're doing.

Reminder if you can't make the game OHIO is again doing their tickets for Kids program.  My older brother did this last year and intends to do it again this year.

It's hard to see, but so does Delaware(?!?!?!?), for some reason.  Vermont, of course, remains neutral.

It sounds like we have a good attitude heading into practice, so I hope McCabe's crew doesn't ref the game.

I think bowls are always officiated by officials of some neutral conference. Thus the officials will be from some conference other than the MAC or CUSA, perhaps from AAC or Sunbelt.

Its also worth noting that our bowl falls on the sacred day of Festivus- for the rest of us. Festivus is celebrated with "airing of grievances" and "feats of strength". Sounds perfect.

Where is the buzz? I'm just wondering if we'll sell more than 200 tickets to this game, not counting students. Will the student busses sell out? Does anybody think that we can win, if so how would that happen?

Well, Ohio was a pretty good team for a part of the season, from NTSU to EMU. After EMU the wheels fell off, though, playing worse against Miami, worse still against Buffalo, even worse at BG, and worst of all against Kent. They got it back together, though, and played a decent game against U.Mass. The question is, which Ohio team will show up? The one with pride, and fight? If so, Ohio will come ready to play, and will give EMU a battle. Ohio has played well in bowls in recent years. I think they will again.

Meanwhile, ECU has been a better team at home than on the road this year. They did play well close to home, at NC and NC State, but not as well on longer trips to Tulane, FIU, Marshall and MTSU.

I don't see this as an easy win, at least for Ohio. If Ohio plays badly, it could be an easy win for ECU. If Ohio plays well, and I think they will, it will be a hard fought game, and I think Ohio has a reasonable chance of coming out on top.

I heard we have already sold well over 200 tickets not including the student deal which is anticipated to sell out shortly.

It's still well over a week before the game. I think 200 at this point is pretty good. Nobody thought we're bringing 5,000 fans down or something....
