The irony is that NOT throwing the flag ultimately helped FSU. If the flag had been thrown, they would have been easier to score more quickly, and would have left Auburn more time on the clock to try to get into FG position.

Likewise, Tre Mason for Auburn would have been better off taking a knee at the 1 on Auburn's last touchdown so Auburn could have burned more clock, although I'm not going to fault anyone for scoring a TD with a minute to go in the game.
