. . . . Also, there was the play at the end of the Miam game where he was sacked at the end when time ran out. As hard as the fans were on him, I think he was harder on himself, and I think this game was the true turning point in his time at Ohio.
I tend to agree with this. I was at that Miami game and everyone in the Ohio section was yelling "throw the ball away." Somehow, TT seemed to be only one in the stadium that didn't realize Ohio was out of timeouts and/or just had a total brain cramp. As you will recall, a FG would have tied the game and sent it to OT. Ohio was at about the five yard line, so the FG would have been basically an extra point try in terms of distance. It did seem that TT never regained his confidence after that. It was real downer as it ended our dreams of a perfect season and a BCS Bowl bid.
I think TT has the potential to return to the form he had prior to the Miami game, and I hope he does.
