I was browsing through Miamihawktalk recently just to see what their thoughts on the game were and i came across this...www.miamihawktalk.com/discussion/viewtopic.php

At first it was just typical making fun of OHIO stuff.. then it turned real creepy.. someone from Miami posted a picture of two of our former cheerleaders.. a few comments are made about them being hot.. then ozoner? not sure who that is I am assuming he is someone who frequently visits this site, gets on and starts talking about the cheerleaders on a personal level.. ok whatever he knows them... then he gets real creepy and posts what to be a picture from facebook of all the current cheerleaders dressed up....

All the Miami people continue to make even weirder comments after that and eventually one of Miami's own informs them on how creepy themselves and ozoner are being and they change topics after that... any thoughts on how creepy that is on OUr own fans part...

Been out of place a lot or just didn't fight for the ball..wofford..burnt..got pass interf..toledo..missed tackle td....played ok vs ohio am..against marshall beat for 15 yards long pass td..eastern mich mossed again for td..bowling green gave up a long fade pass td...played decent vs akron...now that's no island. He is the weak link in the secondary.

Well i feel that wasn't needed.  Yeah I guess I could go through game by game and pick out every players flaws, and yeah he has messed up but coming off a year of not playing and only being a redshirt sophmore he seems to be doing enough right to be starting over a few of the guys you mentioned.  But yes I am talk about the player thats number 18 who is tied for second on the team in pass break ups and almost just took a punt to the house.  I guess he was good enough to have a feature on the bobcat blitz as well... you can check him out here www.ohiobobcats.com/sports/m-footbl/ohio-m-footbl-body.html.. if you wanna see some high lights.. or the feature from bobcat blitz.. you're right guess he is garbage.

Get out of here... seriously...  this isn't the place for this crap... Criticism of players is fine when it's in the context of a game... but just piling on some kid giving his all for Ohio for no reason isn't what this board is about...

No one is piling on the kid you act like I just made up those stats...and they where in the context of the game..he was in man coverage got burnt on playable balls that he should as a starter make plays on. Dont give me that crap about ohhh dont talk about piling on a player because go to any other football board and you will see TEN TIMES WORSE..Its football you keep score and you get praise when you do great and talked about when you do wrong. No one attacked him as a person at all only says to be considered an ISLAND then you have to be a ONE MAN LOCKDOWN CORNERBACK and he has not shown that he is able to do that. Hey he is a great athlete but more suited for Strong of Free in my opinion but guess what Im not a COACH so doesnt really matter..but I can bet you will see a move pretty soon as in probaly next year with the departure of Steven Jackson.

If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all.  You are trash talking against your own team and your own fans.  And for what purpose?  Sure we can't always be satisfied with the performance of our players, but you are way out of line here.  You really got ticked off at somebody's message board nickname and thought it was a great opportunity to put down a student-athlete, who is busting his butt out there...?  Really?  Get some class.

The problem here is this thread has nothing to do with Travis Carrie. If you want to discuss mistakes by the secondary, start a new thread. It is a reasonable topic of discussion, and you bring up valid arguments, although they can be refuted, but this isn't the right place.

I don't think it was all that bad...It started to get a little creepy with the additional photo, but didn't reach inappropriate.  You can do a lot worse than call a couple girls good looking and nice people.

The fact that you don't find that stuff here is part of what makes this board special, the other part being that corrections in grammar ARE allowed. It shows that Ohio fans support the team and players in good and bad, and that they have have expectations regarding the value of education.

As for that other school being creepy, what do you expect? When you are located at the epicenter of global suckage, things get distorted.

No one said anything personal about the kid or disrespectful..last time I checked this is a free country and free speech is allowed on any messageboard. The kid sucks this year in man coverage and has given up several touchdowns..dont like it?? Well take want you dont like and type 1,000 memo's to Coach Solich NO ONE CARES. Just to straighten this thread out, Travis Carrie is the man! Dude is turning into an awesome punt returner with Lavon out. If he has struggled (which I'm not entirely sure he has) it may be due to sitting out for an entire year and also being the youngest guy we have back there right now. But after having watched him play a few times I agree with Rob C. that Trav has the best shot at the NFL of any of our DBs.

Seriously...Best shot at NFL as any of our dbs?? What planet are you from..So Carrie who granted has sat out but also played before he sat out..with stiff hips and terrible ball skills on deep passes has a better shot over Julian Posey...Donovan Fletcher...either of the Leftwich's in 3 years? Luckly your not an nfl scout! LOL Dont get me wrong Carrie has plenty of time to improve and he is a great athlete but right now he is a starter by default..if he gives up another gimmie type touchdown best believe he is getting yanked..sometimes watching the coaches body language during the game and actually knowing what is going on in the football game makes you a better fan..I also grade the players in my head and he has been a consistant c-, he helped himself by being a productive returner for sure! But he has to improve down the stretch in man coverage.

Hold on, how is he a starter by default?  You have talked about 4 or 5 other dbs that are MUCH better than him?  Couldn't  they just plug in one of those other star DBs you are discussing instead of TJ?  Also you said its a good thing that guy isint an NFL scout, I think its a great thing your not an NFL or college scout or Tj who has and will continue to make plays for OUr bobcats may never have gotten to OHIO.

Yeah, you're right, he did play before he sat out. AS A TRUE FRESHMAN on a team with many more experienced DBs. Oh yeah, and that's with minimal HIGH SCHOOL experience.

And I didn't come up with the NFL thing myself dude, Rob C said it on a defensive preview episode from pre-season. But I guess Rob, the coaches and everyone else on this board is nuts and you've got it figured it out.

Size and speed are usually nice combos for DB's.

Carrie and the Leftwich brothers definately have a nice size/speed ratio.

Does that make them CB's or Safeties?

If you look at the Leftwich brothers they both have been listed as either a CB or safety.....and they could possibly play an either/or situation. Omar Leftwich has looked real good at CB.

Maybe Carrie has been burnt a few times.

I wouldn't call him toast just yet.

Next year at CB looks solid with Carrie/Leftwich/Jackson.

Safety may be the position where we need new blood.

Now that last post made some sense..I wasnt saying Carrie is toast but he has been toasted is what I was saying and down this stretch of the season out of all the DBs the spotlight is on him. With that said I think he is better suited as a safety more so than a corner. #5 Leftwich also looks like a safety but moves pretty well and he looks bigger than his brother #4..with that said #4 has been lockdown when he's been in the game and I saw a few passes that where miliseconds from being picked off..I'm pretty excited about the defense next year!!
