When you look at OHIO FOOTBALL's upcoming sched, as is the case every year, you see a certain number of games which should be slam dunk W's.
This year, that's probably kents, idaho, eastern illinois, miami. In any kind of normal (I hope) Solich year, you could probably add several more ('tucky, cmu, 'kron, beefs).
So our season should come down to a handful of games, at this point in Coach's tenure.
My vote is that this year guys who are not 'with the program' are directed toward a seat on the bench instead of being allowed to play about all of the year. Last year was not enjoyable at all.
The last 5 years have been arguably the greatest 5 year run in program history and during that time Ohio is just 1-4 vs Kent State. In those 4 losses we've scored just 1 offensive TD. What makes you think we're going to go on the road in the first game of the season with a new offense and get a "slam dunk" win?
As for E Illinois, they were 12-2 last year. They beat SD State and almost beat NIU. They lost their coach and QB but I wouldn't write them off as a slam dunk either.
And as for Miami- they're awful, they haven't won a game since they beat.... #24 and undefeated Ohio in Oct. 2012.
Ohio has a long, frustrating history of losing games it has no business losing, its hard to call any game a "slam dunk" win. But add in all the change in personnel and I don't think there's anyway to consider any game an easy win this year.
