I have a feeling BG will pick it up in the second half. They seem to be able to move the ball on offense. Need some stops if they are going to get back into this game.

So much for getting stops. I don't think the Patriots would have any easier a time than WKU is having with BG's defense. This is pathetic

If there was any last gasp for BG it was forcing WKU into a 3rd and 16 with about 8.5 min to go. WKU runs a basic pitch sweep and picks up the first down.

The sliver lining:  I think we can solve this defense at Homecoming.

Former MAC coach Dave Clawson made his debut with Wake Forrest tonight by losing at ULM 17-10. Wake failed to score an offensive TD and had just 1 drive longer than 16yds. The Demon Deacons totaled 94 yards of offense, including -3yds rushing on 27 carries. ULM is predicted to finish 6th in the Sun Belt.

Enjoy all that P5 money, Dave.

They represented a lot better than some of our former Ohio coaches at Vanderbilt. OOF.

So true, Vandy just could not run the ball. Temple did. Run the ball, stop the run, win the game.

FWIW, WKU was 8-4 in CUSA last year, beating Kentucky 35-26 in last year's opener.

WMU looking alright against Purdue. Their true Freshman Franklin at RB has been impressive.

Not sure how to judge that one. Both teams were 1-11 last year.

It's early, but Miami does not look at all improved from last year. Fumbles, muffed punt, mental penalties, no strength in the trenches. At least they are running an offense from this century. Cato is getting whatever he wants.

I don't know, I think Fiami looks better, not that it would take much. They've moved the ball a little bit, and their QB is definitely an improvement.

Or Terd's defense is worse than last year. The only time they've looked dominant is when they blitz, and I think maybe Fiami just hasn't advanced far enough in their development to know how to read and pick one up.

Buffalo is losing to Duquesne in the 4th quarter. The Dukes are non-scholarship.

Buffalo now up 31-28, and EMU is tied with Morgan State at 21-21. Toledo trails New Hampshire 7-3.
