Marshall was a seven-point favorite last season, for whatever that's worth.

Bottom line is as a 20-point dog in an OOC game, Ohio has nothing to lose. Play hard and have fun.

...And to the guy who said no evidence about marshall being better than UK.... handicappers are pretty damn good at their predictions. A 16 point dog at UK and 20.5 at marshall says they think we are 4.5 points better than UK.
This must be from a Logic course taught at Marshall. Sagarin says KY 72.9 and Marshall 71.2 so no it's not Marshall plus 4.5. Handicappers are great, South Carolina 10.5 better than Texas A&M and Texas A&M won by 24. Kent 3.0 better than Ohio and Ohio wins by 3 with 4 second half turnovers. How can you possibly ascertain Marshall is 4.5 better than KY. Spreads are not static and remain the same to judge yourself against another team. Just throw out all the bad handicaps and go with the ones that fit your scenario I guess.
Computer rankings are worthless at this point. We were ranked in over a dozen top 25 preseason polls. We are getting top 25 votes in the AP and coaches polls. Kentucky is nowhere to be found.

Kentucky told our AD to quit calling them. They won't play us under any circumstances.

I have a lot of respect for Marshall. But the idea that you guys could blow out Kentucky is laughable.

The Kentucky team we played last week is stronger than any Marshall team I've seen for quite some time.

Kentucky is talented, but like Ohio, they are young. They were well coached, and fundamentally solid. They should continue to improve as the year goes on. Still, considering the conference they are in, it's hard to know how well their season will turn out.

The UK fan I was sitting next to at Commonwealth Stadium said: "We could be pretty good this year and win four games."

It's not far from being true. Other than Vandy and Louisiana-Monroe, there are eight games on their slate that they could play well in and still lose.

What a joke. We would destroy kentucky. They wont even sign a series with us because they know hey would get spanked like their big brother louisville. If ohio played with aome heart in that game like you do against marshall, you would have won.

Goherd25 you sound ridiculous! Your words are even compounded by your poor spelling and lack of capitalization. Think of the following phrase: helping your Uncle Jack off a horse. Now write the same phrase without using proper capitalization. See what I mean?

Agreed! I think Kentucky is very good and with the possible exception of Northern Illinois would pretty much thrash any team in the MAC. That was not your mother's Kentucky Ohio faced last week. They've now had 2 recruiting classes rank in the top 25-30 and they have a very good coaching staff. With that, being in the SEC (and I would hope that even the most diehard Marshall fan would concede that the SEC is slightly better than CUSA) Kentucky will be lucky to be bowl eligible this year.

But yeah, Kentucky beats Marshall if they played at Kentucky. No doubt about that.

I can promise you, you would not destroy them. I have yet to see the 2014 version of Marshall...but like I said, the Kentucky team is better than any Marshall team I've seen since the Leftwich years.

We were not capable of moving the ball against them. Not to mention that they dropped an easy TD pass in the second half. That score of that game could have been a lot worse.

UK is no match for The Herd. Not even close. There is Not a weak spot on our team. The Herd would take UK out by 3TDs no matter where the game would be played.

You, stupd cow, are a mo-ron.
Keep on believing what you want to, despite reality, loser.
Which team has won three of our last four meetings and will demolish you next year.

Hey perimeter, I rest my case. And, 69, you were right on too! Right now it is a sorry state of affairs. Hopefully, it get's better as the season goes on!

I led the pack in anger/despair at last season.

But I think this year is much different. Do not quit or panic. stupd cow is actually a decent team. And they were geeked up to get this one, to revenge the last 3 years. We're 1-2, about where most, rightfully, expected us to be at this point.

We've taken 3 of 4 from stupd cow--and wasn't one of those 44-7, a lot worse than today.

This team has talent. The year will get a lot better as we get experience.

The 'X' factor to me is that our offense has to play the right RB's and SHOW SOME FREAKING CREATIVITY/THINKING.

That last one is huge. We are in danger of sinking fast if the O-coordinator remains so rigid/unthinking.

You just seen it. And we let off the gas in the 3rd quarter. 7 of your points were against a half subbed defense and the other 7 against the full 2nd string. Our O cruised from mid 3rd to 4th and then full subs there too. Hope that is proof enough. Kentucky....smh. what a joke.

A. See results of today. Who is ridiculous now?

B. This is a sports form you douche. Grammar smack is pathetic. I use a phone to type, i am not here to write a formal paper, no will i capitalize or add apostrophes when i am here. Reason being? You can read this and understand what i am saying without doing so. Although you may not want reality creeping into your head that Marshall would gut stomp UK just like it did you.

And Marshall is 12-5 against you little MACsters over the past 29 YEARS! That's a 0.705 winning record in almost 3 decades.

OUCH! That one stings, doesn't it??

Sounds like you have some sand trapped in your vagina about the reality check you just got today.

Yes, Marshall won the game - congratulations, you have a very good team. Ohio will live to fight another day and our student body, community and fans will be fine because we have a lot to be thankful for other than football. We also have class so please stop trolling our board saying classless things because Carma is, well you know. If not, you will. Only those who have nothing else going for them in life take these games to the brink of suicide. And, bye the way trolls, normally most of us wouldn't speak to you if we saw you on the street. We engaged you because there was a game. Game is over so done talking with you now. If you see any of us on the street, please don't act like you know us.

Marshall would be Kentucky, it doesn't matter where they played. Kentucky didn't look good against us. The only good athlete I saw in Kentucky last week was named Funny Cide and he is a old man who has been retired for years.

We all use different devices to type. That does not excuse laziness. We don't mind a typo or two, but please try to type a coherent sentence because I have not been trained as a special education teacher; therefore, I can't understand half the things you say. If you can't abide by this simple request, please leave our board. Don't you have an opponent next week you can troll? I would suggest taking an English class at the University of Phoenix if Marshall does not provide them. I hear they also provide "Life Coaches" at UP. They can help you get a life.
