I expect about 37-38K for the game. Assuming no serious injuries I think Cuse wins 38-21.
If the game ended now this woukd be a heck of a prediction.

Ohio State is not going to miss Kyle McCord. He cannot handle pressure.

Syracuse is a mess on defense. They may win seven, but only because the ACC is…oof.
Is it McCord who can't handle pressure or Ryan Day?
Ryan Day does not throw the ball against blitzes, no.

McCord’s footwork becomes awful when he senses pressure. Watch him the next time it happens. He backpeddles and throws it over the middle late.
How any of you can be trashing a dude who has torched us for 300 and 4 tuddies
Who trashed him? Ohio State is not going to miss him. He’ll be good for Syracuse.

Also, our DB’s are playing eight yards off receivers. With good reason. Gadsen is incredible.

Fair enough, but I think that Ohio State, despite having the best Team in the Nation that money can buy, is going choke down the stretch, yet again. Not a fan of Lou Holtz, but when he called Ohio State "soft" last year, an obviously offended Ryan Day responded like a guy who is "soft" would. I think Day needs to go back to being a wide reciever coach and recruiter, which he is really good at, and let someone else coach both the Buckeyes as a Head Coach and bring in a better Quarterback coach to prepare the great talent that Ohio State brings in year after year. Just saying.

Well...VaTech did lose to the Harvard of the South today. So there's that....

Jeremiah Wood and Adonis Williams both left the game near the end of the first quarter. I'm pretty sure they haven't returned. Id say a leg injury and a concussion. McCord has cut us up with 2 starting DBs out. I don't know how much of a difference it made. He just looked off at the start of the game.

I hope we look better against the passing game next week because this is ugly.

Despite Albin’s best efforts, Tyus will not be denied!

Syracuse stopping the clock for us with McCord rollouts is amazing.

I assume Tyus is so hot that Hunt isn't playing. I think Ricky Hunt was in on the knee at the end of the half. I'm pretty sure he isn't hurt.

Not giving up on Parker, but I would love to see a backup QB get a shot early.

I think Navarro will be really good if Ohio has a lead. If the defense knows he’s going to throw it, it could be a struggle. I think he can manage this offense, though.

We sure didn’t get homered by the officials. We’ve gotten some calls.

Anybody listen to the ACC network pregame? They are a joke. Said this game should be no different than Louisville beating Austin Peay 62-0.

So many good takeaways from this game. I haven’t seen us play this physical on defense in a long time. Obviously a lot of room to get better but we are playing fast and physical.

It was pretty clear E.J. Manual knew nothing about Ohio when he said that.

Syracuse’s defense is giving up giant chunks of yardage all day.

Not a want, but a need.

Absolutely zero threat to throw.

Even the throws he threw near a WR, there were a few, were ugly.

Uh… You can’t use one of your three timeouts when down two possessions with 52 seconds left. That’s raising the white flag.

But very much encouraged. Should be a good year, much better than I thought entering the day.

Overall a decent beginning. If form holds true we can expect improvement as the weeks go by. You have to be impressed with the performance considering how many new players played. Our coaching staff should be complimented.

In my NCAA Dynasty, I use Pistol playaction bootleg to get him near the sidelines and cut his field in half. Can throw it out of bounds and cut mistakes in half. He will get better as the season goes on. We have a power run team that can bruise some MAC teams. So this game was encouraging despite the outcome.

I totally agree that this game was encouraging. This team has so many new pieces that they have kinks to work out. I expect a lot of improvement for the next game, and now I think they might win 8 instead of the 6 I picked preseason. Tyus is a beast. I'd love to see him rack up 1600 yards this year and get invited to the combine. That would really help attract transfers to Ohio. Northwestern lost a good one.

Totally agree. May have to pay to keep him if this continues. Some GA scout out there definitely texted their HC. 😄😄😄

Power of the portal. He did awesome and getting Captain status right away shows the leadership he brings already. While he had 137 of the 181 passing yards, we need Parker to spread it around and build chemistry with other guys too. Our identity is obviously run-balanced but sprinkle in a few more balanced play action and we have solid chance in late November.

IF we hadn’t outcoached ourselves in the first half with those idiotic rollout pass attempts to the short side and had just run the damn ball from the 2 yard line, oh well!! Hope the DB injuries aren’t serious.

Such a shame. Dude has battled injuries since he’s been here. Hopefully someone can step up.
