BG loses their grip on sole possession of first place if they lose this game.

Is there any reason to think that we won't albin.

Let's just say it this way: There could be a stomping something akin to what CMU saw at its homecoming yesterday.

We have a really good volleyball team. No, given current circumstances, that is not an off-topic remark.

Undefeated at home this season. Good homecoming crowd. I'm calling a 24-17 win

+1, this group is working hard, and the coaches are working hard. They will put this together!

After being dominant the last couple of years, Bowling Green's defense this year has been awful, giving up 42.2 points and 577.3 yards per game. Then again, the Falcons' offense is averaging 37.7 points and 501.5 yards, so the QB injury has held them back much.

It's key that we stop BG early. In our wins this season, we've shut down the opponent in their first couple drives. In our losses, we've gotten down 10-14 pts early. Seems like once we're in a hole, we can't climb out.

Also, we need to lay off the play action to Cochran on our first or second drive. While I love the play, it's now become predictable and teams are looking for it. Chase on a jet sweep would be good. Use the play action later.

I would like to think that we could follow suit from other teams and put some points on the board.

What has me concerned is that we have shown a propensity to give up a lot ourselves.

We will definitely have to overachieve to pull out a win. I'm nervous that a loss in this game, especially one similar to the defeat we took up in Mt. Pleasant, will put the season in a tailspin.

Greetings from a Falcon! I'll be down Saturday and I always look forward to my trips to Athens-always fun and always memorable!! My daughter is a student and I was down two weeks ago for Parents' weekend! The Falcons are a work in progress and we never know what the next week will bring. I can say this for sure; I too will eat my shoe if BG only scores 17 points. The more likely scenario is that they score 17 points in the first quarter. Point scoring is not the issue for this team. They have play makers all over the place on offense, and our backup quarterback has done a phenomenal job under difficult circumstances. He distributes the ball well, and our running attack is very solid. At Umass we had 3 receivers with 100 yards plus. The head coach wants that to eventually be 4 receivers. Now, for the bad news-good news for the
Bobcats. Our defense has been hurt by graduation and injury. They have however been able to make stops when needed and they showed great improvement last Saturday against Buffalo. They held them to 22 total yards in the 3rd quarter and made a stand in the last two minutes of the game to secure the win. Those were all positives. What will happen defensively Saturday is anyone's guess. I can guarantee that The Falcons will provide plenty of entertainment for the Homecoming crowd. But win or lose I'll be at "Sticky Crystal" and/or Jackie O's later on with a stop at Big Momma's late at night!

I think your injury list should also include Jovon Johnson, Blair Brown, Thad Ingol, Devin Jones, and Blake Scipio, and possibly Herman Brunis or Joe Lowery, neither of whom played against CMU.

The good news is that AJ OUellette, Ian Wells and Brett Layton should all be back. It will be the first game for Layton, if he plays.

I'll eat my own shoes if we score over 17 this week...and if that is all we score it will not be enough to win.

Hope your offer gets to the offense, defense and special teams. You should get to do it in front of the team.

This should give you guys some insights. For the most part this is an accurate description of where BG is.

Our attitude this week should be similar to that of the NE coach we all despise after his game last week (insert "BG" for "Cincinnati" and "Saturday afternoon" for "Sunday night": http://sports.yahoo.com/video/england-patriots-head-coach...

This BGSU defense could be exactly what our offense needs, although I'm not feeling that optimistic at the moment. Any success we're going to have is going to stem from better QB play (I assume if Ouellette plays, the run game won't be a problem) so let's hope that Sprague can have a decent day.

Worried. BG's offense.

Ronnie Moore their elite speed buy--much results. Can we try R Walker more, please?

Why is that guy smiling?

'cause he's BG's D-coordinator and we're in single, small running back set with first down inside the ten.

If Blair Brown and Jovon Johnson are out we are in HUGE trouble. Combined with Poling they are the only thing about this defense that actually works.

And to make matters worse, their backups are bunch of walkons. UGGGH.

Saturday could be another one of those classic beat-downs we've grown accustomed to.

Seriously, I am beginning to hate seeing the words "back up". The LB backups are walk ons? Do we have any recruits that can play? Has this staff really been that bad recruiting the last couple of years?

Yes, they have.

Also, I'd love to know what a few of you have seen on the field this year that leads you to believe Ohio can score more than 17 points in a game. Things I'd like to see this week:

-Daz only used outside of the tackle box
-Chase Cochran gets 6+ targets to help stretch the defense
-defensive line pressure
-win the turnover margin
-Bass not get beat for a long TD

-Chase Cochran gets 6+ targets to help stretch the defense-makes sense, so it won't happen
-defensive line pressure-not when they are always wearing roller skates
-win the turnover margin-could be a possibility!
-Bass not get beat for a long TD-plan on at least one serving of Homecoming toast

I am a brand new Bobcat fan who recently purchased tickets in the Tower
Section. I knew going into this year that it would be a rebuilding one. All I was hoping for was to watch a team that plays hard every game and shows steady and consistent improvement. The jury is still out on this season's entire body of work.
One thing I do know. The 'Cats have a golden opportunity to make a statement and become one game closer to bowl eligibility this Saturday. We are coming in off of a miserable loss while catching a team that is coming in off of an emotional late-game win. We will have a large ( hopefully raucous) Homecoming crowd, and we are desperate for a win.
Good teams find ways to win games like this at home. Let's go get this and continue to build from there! Bobcats 28-24.
This is my first post and I will appreciate any feedback.
