Actually, here's a show they did last month:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTlTYdlexz4

Looks and sounds mighty familiar. Not sure if it was pregame, halftime or postgame but it was only a "friends and family" crowd.
FYI- Temple venue is Philadelphia Eagles Lincoln Financial Field ("The Linc").
It's neither fan nor student friendly.
Far from campus, expensive to park, a tough college fan venue.
The Temple band is much improved over the years under the direction of Matt Brunner.
It won't be long before people go to games to see the band instead of the football team...

I don't buy the venue excuse. Philly has public transportation and the school could run shuttles. Temps has always had trouble getting football crowds, even before playing in the Linc. That's why they were booted from the late Big Least. They want to be big-time football, but will never have the fan support to be really big-time. Temps has always been a b-ball school and likely always will be.

speaking of bands...

this is the first time since 2010 we've gotten this far into October without a viral video from our band or team. what's up with that?

I also don't buy the venue excuse. The Broad Street Subway runs directly from campus to the Linc, with trains running every 10 minutes. Now there is talk of building an on-campus stadium, but I just don't think it'll help. Student/Alumni support is just not the great, and the average Philadelphia has too many other entertainment options to care. I would like to be proven wrong on this though.
