Who cares about what an off-campus store displays in their windows? What really needs to be done is to find a way to stop people from wearing ohio state gear to Bobcats games.
p.s. The bookstore has always been owned by Follett, even when it was called Logan's.
Not true.
After Follett bought the book store for a number of years they kept the "Logan's name." Then after awhile they dropped the name. Before that it was a locally owned store just like the College Book Store.
FYI, and feel free to research it... Logan's University Bookstore opened on 8/1/1952 as one of the first Follett locations in Ohio. The name Logan's was chosen based on the regional familiarity of the name at the time. This was to draw customers into the store.
Follett's Bookstore has always been corporate, and they've also always had a much higher standard of customer service than College or the now defunct Specialty (which was also a corporate store - Owned by Nebraska Book Company).
Logan's and Follett's have always been one in the same. The name change came with a drive for brand recognition by Follett corporate in the 1990s. Though I have no love for Miami University, I will mention that a similar change occurred at the same time with their bookstore. The name changed from "Miami Co-op Bookstore" to "Follett's Miami Co-op Bookstore."
The name "Logan's Bookstore" is still owned by Follett, and can be seen as an alternate name on the Follett's Bookstore BBB page.
