Bowl: N/A

Final Record: 6-6

I really hope a season ending loss to Miami doesn't keep us out of a bowl game.  Even with new tie-ins I don't think 6-6 will get us in to a bowl. I see worst case scenario at 4-8 and best case at 8-4The games on each end of the schedule are to me the most difficult to predict.  At home I think we win, but with both on the road I hope we get at least one of them.

Not expecting a great year, as you can see, but just like many of you, my basis for these predictions is a bit shallow. I will go ahead and predict that if we find a way to play in a bowl game, 2015 will be the best team of the Solich era.

     MACC. Nope
Bowl - yup we lose against who ever we play
      Final record 9-4 (6-2)

Vick reminds me so much of theo and  sprague reminds me of a young tyler so either one can do the job IMHO. I think ohio is going to run the ball a lot more than they pass . They will try to have longer possessions giving the D a rest making ohio better than last year. This team won't expect to win and will fight to the clock hits zero. They will have an 2006 attitude with 2011 talent making them better but still a year away from the MACC. They will have their yearly hiccup against buffalo but still pull out a big win against a better Kentucky .i have high hopes like I always do but I could see them going something like 6-6. We'll I'm going to go drink some more green kool aid and wait for Saturday.

Surprised at the pessimism towards the Marshall game. Cato likes turning the ball over to Ohio.

Why? Because Ohio did the same thing last year? The Cats got extremely lucky to get into a bowl game at 7-5 last year. No way Ohio goes to a bowl, with this schedule, at 6-6. No way.

As everybody knows, there are 4 more bowls this year with several tied to the MAC, 6-6 very well might do it

MAC Championship: BG over Toledo (we help keep NIU out)
Bowl: WIN
10-3!

Three main points:
1. Kent is the most important game, IMO. We've lost two in a row to them AND if we lose again, we very likely start 0-3. We cannot start 0-3.
2. If we can beat Kent, if we can just steal one of two against Marshall and Kentucky, all of a sudden we are 2-1 with a very real chance to start 4-1. That would be HUGE.
3. I want the bowl streak to continue. Period.

Two other thoughts:
1. NIU game should be an awesome atmosphere.
2. Meltdown on Marshall board if we beat them should be legendary.

Agreed.

Ohio is a much more desirable bowl participant than many are willing to acknowledge. This program has began to develop some national name-recognition and that is a very good thing.

Seems a lot of people are predicting WMU to be a good team this year.

@ Kent State:  W. Lots of green Kool-Aid consumed after this one.
@ Kentucky: L. They 'sposed to be SEC, and they are.
@ Marshall: L. Terd takes out 3 years of frustration on us, Chuck Landon still finds it unacceptable.
Idaho: W. Avoiding injuries is the main goal here.
Eastern Illinois: W. Ditto. My previous fears about EIU have been wiped away by green Kool-Aid.
@ Central Michigan: L. Central has our number for some reason.
Bowling Green: L. We play better than expected but lose to the best team in the MAC.
Akron: W. Terry Bowden looks like a turducken.
@ Western Michigan: L. This year's "WTF????" loss.
Buffalo: W. I'd have us losing this one on the road, but since we're at home we win.
Northern Illinois: W. This year's "WTF????" win.
@ Miami: W. Miami sucks.

Regular Season Record: 7-5

MAC Championship (if applicable): N/A
Bowl (if applicable): W, in front of 2,000 people on Christmas Eve in the Bahamas.

Final Record: 8-5
