It really should be 21-3 but Appy St. was on the wrong end of a blown call. Their WR broke the plane of the goal line for what should have been called a td but was sort of lollygagging and got stripped right after scoring. The ref called it a touchback and it was upheld as a touchback which was ridiculous.

If the coach or the fans want to be mad at the kid for lollygagging, that is one thing, but refs are supposed to make the correct call no matter how much they want to show the kid up for his lollygagging. And for the blown call to be upheld makes it even worse.

*17-3

I can’t believe a woman ad forced him into a 6/14 for 50 yards and an int QB.

App State’s QB put up an entire good game’s worth of stats on them in the first half. 20/30 267 passing yards, 1 TD and no turnovers. Add a 10 yard rush.

It is 17, my bad.

Can I mention the Vandy transfer QB for Appy throwing for 267 yards in one half?

I'd love to see a home and home with App State.

OUr guys in green and white would be significantly more of a challenge for them.

He threw the beanbag into the end zone lol. Can't believe they don't have a pylon cam in that stadium.

Charlotte was supposed to bring the pylon cams but they blew all the budget giving Tim the “massive” raise he was so smart for taking without a counter offer.

It won't cost Appy the game but it's still an annoying blown call.

Famous "lollygagger" scene...

Schmitz and Taylor looking like they would rather have been in NJ last night than being throttled by a Sunbelt team.

Albin just benched his starting QB. Through 3 quarters in game 1. Going with the back-up down 24.

Things are going well, folks.

Appy was 5-6 last season and didn't make a bowl.

Did anyone else catch the graphic about the Charlotte center where it said it was his 6th season at Ohio? Guess that can happen when they ripped off our uniforms. Musta confused the graphics guys.

IF Tim’s dog wasn’t sick before it sure is now! App. State just pounded another score with ease and it’s now 34-11 with 4 minutes left and Tim’s boys look like whipped DOGS.

You think he has time to abandon them on the highway during the 20 minute bus ride from Bank Of America Stadium back to campus?

I agree. IMHO, their body language, during the second half of the game especially, was not the best. And, Albin looked shell shocked at the end like he really didn’t want to be there. Maybe they’ll improve and impressions will change but tonight definitely wasn’t the greatest of debuts.

Timmy forgot QB is the most important position in college football.

Coach Smitty recruited Navarro when Smitty was at Hawaii. When Parker entered the portal at UCF they reconnected.

First year bum now twice. Will NEVER go to a third job as the team wouldn't want to be the third strike.
