Eric Davis (from Vinton or Jackson) We had one from each that left us early, both were good, drawing a blank on their other's name. Last name of Caudil?

Jon Lechner, loved his attitude, tough guy.

I decided against nominating anyone and will instead second Chris Rodgers.

(I was torn between him and a reserve OT who on multiple instances procured booze for me when I was underage.)

Putoff was outstanding. I second your nomination.

If we have more room for nominations, how about Ray Bloch of that era? Big and smart. Born to be an OL with that name.

We're at 10 right now, but since we'll ultimately choose 5, we can go with the primary system like we did with RBs to whittle the list down a bit. So yeah, go ahead and nominate away.

I guess L.C.'s suggestion of Art Lewis was not an official nomination, so I'll nominate him.

I just missed him (along with the JJ Knabb nomination). Adding both.

I thought it was a nomination, but since it wasn't I'll second Art Lewis.

I'd like to nominate Joe Flading. You just knew he would be so dependable and solid every game.
Seconded. Flading came in light, was needed right away and always worked to better himself. A captain type from the git-go.

We're still really low on nominees for one of the most important positions on the team. I'll second Shelby and Lechner.

Be nice if someone seconded Ron Stepsis, All-MAC two or three times and member of a MAC championship team.

BTW,who was that 6'7" OL Grobe recruited from west of Cleveland - Lorain or Elyria. Me things he too is worthy of a nomination...
David Patton was a 6'9", 320 pound lineman from Union Local High School in Belmont. He played both left tackle and guard. He had 19 take downs again F-Miami in 1999.
