Yes, Bower and Febus played most of the MACC game in 2006, Tettleton some played in 2009, and Harris played all of it in 2022. I have no problem at all with pulling Navarro.
That’s as remarkable and unfortunate trend.

It seems to me that if Ball State would have just fired the DC and kept Neu they would be okay going forward . Their freshman QB could end up being all MAC in a couple years. They have plenty of skill players.

Didn't Febus come in expected to be a Safety and was low enough on the QB depth chart at the start of 2009 that he had played on special teams?

Ball State still throwing.

Goofball dancing down 3 TD with 2 min left.
Yeah, that dance was pretty cheap. When you're down 21 in the 4th quarter, save that kind of stuff for the sideline. Back in the day, one of the defensive players would have pointed to the scoreboard.

On to Detroit for the rematch with MOFO.
That dancing by that Ball receiver indeed was unbelievably dumb. I think they only get away with this stuff because coaches are so afraid of losing kids to the portal if they confront them.

Tyus needs 149 yards to over 1K for the season as well.

Currently has 9 carries for 92.
He has 960. Needs just 40 in the last two games (MACCG and bowl).

If you can venture back in the past, Febus got his first TD in the Miami game before the MACC in 2006.

As I have heard it, he came in expecting to win the QB job, but never did. He did eventually play special teams on kickoffs because he wanted to be on the field. In the MACC game, Brendon Jones was also out because of a season ending knee injury earlier in the year, so the active QBs left were were Bower and Febus.

When Everson just couldn't go, Bower went in first, and played OK, but threw 2 interceptions, so Febus got his shot. I seem to recall that Bower was a pretty good QB, except that he had difficulty seeing the linebackers in underneath coverage, and sometimes threw it directly to them. Anyway, Febus did get his shot at QB, and was 1/3 passing for 1 yard, and had one carry for -6 yards.

Indeed he did. It was a 1 yard rush. I had forgotten that.

Febus was supposed to be a savior like Irons and Daxon. If I remember correctly the deal was he had the arm but no accuracy or something like that.

Drove down from Cincinnati today to see the game rather than do Black Friday shopping. After getting home and taking a nice hot shower I have some questions/comments for some of you people that played football past high school..😃

First, since I am getting older, am I just seeing things or is our defensive line really a lot faster than we’ve been in the past? They have been pretty good all year.

Second, I know I am seeing this correctly… Why don’t we ever chuck receivers at the line of scrimmage to throw the timing off a little bit? If we don’t and it’s gonna be a long day against Miami next week.

Third, the offense has really been pretty effective lately. I guess I’m gonna have to get used to dual threat quarterbacks. I just think nowadays we have to be a bit more consistent in the passing game to be really good. And that is coming from a guy who played option quarterback in high school and threw the ball about six times a game. Today I would say we were very good early.

In closing, God, can you please exorcise the Miami/Bo jinx this year!🤬

By the way, what a great day for Navarro. He ran for 2 TDs and threw for three. His one turnover worked out to be an effective "arm punt", pinning Ball State back at the three yard line.

Fubus was a great guy, but interesting character. He claimed to have a stronger arm than Brett Farve, and he’d gladly tell you that. Tough kid, played hard, but had no understanding of his limitations, and volunteered to play special teams. Kick off coverage was right up his mentality. When he left Ohio, joined the Army and I believe was an Army Ranger before going to the corporate world
