Rain likely, maybe snow showers Wednesday evening in Toledo. Temps in the 40s, maybe dropping into the 30s. This might work in our favor if Toledo has to rely on its running game.

It’s not just the rain and the cold…The Weather Channel is predicting winds, out of the west, between 18 and 21 mph. According to the seating chart the field is North/South making it a cross wind.

Wind and rain spell a crowd shoved in the top 3 rows of the home side beneath the Press Tower. A crowd which would maybe get near 20k will likely be dismal (nothing new for the MAC).

Wind and rain also on paper favors Ohio. If Toledos secondary which is incredibly banged up doesn't have to worry about covering and can set out to stop the run, this may change the dynamic play of Navarro.

Toledo also just got Jaquez Stuart healthy. Him and Gleason ran for over 8 yards a pop on 8 carries each last week. Also the preseason number 1 RB (Willy Shaw III) hasn't played since Mississippi State and was elevated to Questionable last week. There could be a dynamic change to the offense coming if the young OL has come far enough along to handle it...

UB broke out the tripple option for us out of a BYE earlier and through the game into a whirl. Weird things can happen in Toledo Ohio on a Wednesday night..

This Toledo team isn’t the same type of animal it’s been the last couple years. They aren’t bad, but they’re not great either, they’re decent. They lost at Buffalo (a team Ohio blasted) and BG handed it to Toledo in the Glass Bowl. They also came one pass breakup away on a 2-point conversion to losing to EMU, the same team Ohio throttled last night. They did beat Miami but that was before Miami finally got untracked. It should be a good game but I’ll moneyline Ohio in this one and I expect Ohio to duplicate what BG just did up there to Toledo and walk out of the Glass Bowl with a big win.
As I've said in other related threads, my money is on BGSU. Who knows on any given Saturday (or Tuesday, or Wednesday), but BG is, IMHO, the best team in the MAC. Take a look at their two close loses to TAMU and PSU. And, whenever I watch them, they just pass my "eye test" as a quality football team.
I do agree with you about BG. I see much of the same thing when I watch them too. Right now, they look to be the best team in the MAC. That said, they are very beatable when they don't consistently bring it. My main question about BG though is, will they even be able to get to Detroit? Remember, they're not part of the MACtion slate this week and unlike the rest of the MAC that plays Tuesday and Wednesday, they don't play until Saturday in a trap game at Ball State (BSU has lost a bunch of very close games, home finale, playing for their fired HC, etc). They have nothing to lose, but BG sure does. But the real issue for BG playing Ball State is probably the day of the game itself, because BG then has to turn around and play Miami on a short week. Miami has essentially a bye before facing BG. Miami plays tonight and then can start prepping for BG starting tomorrow. BG can't start its Miami prep until Sunday at that earliest. This gives Chuck Martin and Miami a huge advantage leading into that game. Not to mention, Miami has been a huge thorn in BG's side over the years anyway. I just get the feeling BG is walking into a trap to close the season with the way those two games are set up. But If Ohio beats Toledo, they're going to Detroit. The question then will be who do they play? My guess is probably the winner of BG-Miami.

I know that this is mostly unrelated to Ohiobobcat's comment but doesn't it seem like we never get November Saturday games and Ball State gets far more than anyone else? Is this by AD request?

Guessing it has something to do with ESPN.

Our lack of Saturday games coincides with the rise of OU being good, and the rise of midweek MACtion.

The cost of a Saturday game at this point is having a short week to follow it.

So yeah, I think I'm going to make a run North on 75 tomorrow night. Leaving Dayton-ish at 3-ish. Weather looks terrible and OUr buys are up against it. But this is what I do. Will pick up any/all riders who are like-minded and hope to see some friendly faces in the parking lot.

Along that line, Toledo has an edge in prep time for this week's game. They played last Tuesday and play us at home, to they have a full six or seven days to recoup and prep. But we played last Wednesday and traveled today, so we have about five days to get ready. Of course, we'll have more than a week to prep for BSU, but it would have been preferable for more time before the Toledo game.

Rockets taking a page out of Ohios book and breaking out the blacks.
3rd iteration of black uniforms in UT fb history. Toledo has a good record wearing them. 5 or 6-1.

Valid point, but I think Mother Nature throws Toledo’s extra prep time to the wind - both literally and figuratively. Toledo wants to pass the ball and they are now calling for wind in excess of 30 mph during game time. This plays right in Ohio’s hands! Ohio not only thrives and excells running the ball, but Toledo is going to have to try and now do so with weather conditions negating their solid passing offense. These weather conditions favor Ohio big time!

I just want to express my gratitude for having a meaningful mid-November game. Nice job to Coaches and team. Expectations were kind of meh in August. I’m impressed and looking forward to tuning into the game! O.U. Oh Yeah!!!

Of all the stadiums in the MAC, the glass bowl is one of the most fully enclosed. I wonder to what degree that might temper the effect of the wind, depending on its direction. Passing game might not be affected as much but it still might wreak havok on the kicking game.

This! Not one person in the preseason picks expected Ohio in the MAC game. Not one person thought Ohio could beat Toledo. Now, here we are, on game day, and all of us think Ohio has a shot at Toledo, and a shot at the MACC game. The season has been much better than we all expected.

The 2nd largest press tower in the conference should block some of the wind from the East. The visitors/Fan plan side will be colder than the home side by a decent margin. The Bobcats will have wind in their eyes all game.

Toledo defense has caused 14 turnovers in the past 5 games. We need to hold on to the ball, have no interceptions, and eat up the clock. Good luck Cats!

Agreed. The Cats can win this one and i would be over the moon if that happens. The only thing I don't want to see is them to work this hard, come this far, and not put their best foot forward. What will upset me is if we have 10 penalties and 3 turnovers in the first quarter and a half and lose. If Toledo out-executes us so be it but just not a meltdown.

Just glancing at the Buffalo - Toledo game. Ogbonna was 10/17 for 127yrds and a TD. However Buffalo ran the ball 52 times for 230 yards (4.4 a carry). I'm sure Toledo will stack the line tonight with safety Hooken in the box. We have to execute on our deep passes with 1 on 1. We need a big night from Coleman Owen on those plays to keep the run game churning.

Is this our first storm trooper fit of the season?

Always a favorite. One of the cleanest uniforms in college football. (Not biased at all)
