ESPN3 is pi$$ing me off. I'm a Uverse customer and I keep getting User Not Authorized when I try to watch something. Anyone have any ideas? espn was useless on the topic.
I have had similar problems with a different provider. For me If I changed my Security (Adobe Flash - Always Allow) and Privacy (Always Allow - Cookies) settings - BEFORE going into the ESPN3 pages, it seemed to work more often (This is on a Mac). Also immediately try a second time. Hope it works I know how frustrating it can be.

Hope any who traveled to Moscow stop in at tailgating parties - you will welcomed by all, or almost all.

Good Luck.

I addressed this tonight in anticipation. Use the AT&T Uverse app or their website. It works through that.

I have Uverse Internet only with directv. So, my attempts to watch the volleyball match from yesterday are in vain, but I will be able to watch football tomorrow?

Not sure this qualifies, but this game has the feel of a "trap"game to me with Marshall coming up, Idaho is desperate for a win, long trip, etc. There seems to be a lot of enthusiasm, let's hope that they can keep that when things don't always go the way you want on the field.
Any ideas on the attitude of the players going into this one?

I don't think it's a "trap" because, since it's the first game, Ohio's players have to really be looking forward to it. I have no doubt they are focused on Idaho, and nothing but Idaho. That said, note that in Petrino's press conference he says that his players are playing with more confidence than they have had in his two years, and Petrino's tenor changes when he says it, and he looks confident as well. That tells you right there that this is going to be a tough game.

The answer is that Ohio has to take it to Idaho early in the game. If Ohio gets after them early, they can shake that confidence. If Ohio starts slowly, Idaho's confidence will build, and it will be a much harder game to win.

I'm looking for Ohio's defense to stuff Idaho at the line early and often, and Ohio's offense to have some early success, and slowly start grinding Idaho down. I think that the first quarter will be a battle, but I'm hoping that by mid-way in the second quarter Ohio will be able to move the ball consistently.

Yes, you should be able to. Since the game is ESPN3 only, anyone who has an Internet provider that allows access to ESPN3 (which AT&T definitely does) can watch.

Yes, that seems to be the case... I confirmed by testing on some live tennis last night. I have a the gf's time warner password should I need it however.

Man, sports really is the only thing keeping me connected to cable. C'mon, ESPN, get that standalone internet streaming service going ASAP.

Absolutely agree with this. I'm surprised this thought isn't voiced more in the media.

Gotta be the unspoken fear of a lot of old media.

My take on the game also centers around Idaho's level of confidence. A few quick turnovers that Ohio turns into points would go along way to breaking their confidence early on. In addition, if we are able to execute our game plan successfully, and move the ball, this too will aid in putting Idaho on their heals which could more than likely lead them to be willing to take more risk which would certainly play into our hands.

The things mentioned in the Post story about the controversy surrounding Idaho football may be cause for concern. (http://www.thepostathens.com/sports/controversy-runs-ramp... ) Reminds me of our '06 season when the Dispatch plastered its front page with a story about discipline problems with our football team on the morning of the BG game. We lost that one, but Solich soon instilled an "us vs them" mindset in the team and they went on to win seven in a row (including @ILL) and won the division. Petrino may be doing the same with his team right now.

Anyway, I'm psyched for the season to start. The talkin' stops and the playin' begins. GO BOBCATS!!!!!

Same here. I'm tempted to switch over to Roku and Slingbox but I don't wanna lose all the sports channels I have.

I would never suggest getting the login info for an ESPN3 cable provider from a family member who has it but doesn't watch sports online or access their online account for anything, and maybe in return you could offer your Netflix login to them as a trade. Even through the service is already paid for so you're not actually stealing anything, and there's no way the cable company will ever know, I still would never suggest doing that.

I know personally that if I had been using this exact arrangement for the past couple of years with smashing success and zero problems I still wouldn't recommend it because it would be wrong. So that's why I am definitely not suggesting you do that. Just so we're clear.

I switched last year to a small ISP (reseller) that, to gain a competitive advantage, offers internet connection to ESPN3. It doesn't work for games that are on actual TV, but is perfect for games like this. It actually was cheaper than buying the service directly from the phone/cable companies, and they have humans you can talk to in the event you need service.

Greetings from Moscow! I can confirm the team is very businesslike, and that Moscow is brimming with excitement for the game...NOT! You could hardly tell there is a game this evening. Cool and mixed skies will likely suppress some tailgaters, and no smoke to speak of. Walked around campus and met a couple of very kind and gracious camping/tailgating alumni, and the Kibbe Dome is much nicer in person than it looks in pics, at least on the exterior. Also a phenomenal weight facility that puts ours to shame. Hoping for a great game with no injuries on either side of the ball.

$20/month Sling TV online gives you the required ESPN login info you would get like from a cable provider...

Humans you can talk to? That's so 2010.

We should start a thread of online sites for which there's no discernible way to talk to anyone for help. Try craigslist for starters.

More greetings from Moscow. It's already fall up here. Had some pretty good BBQ at CD smoke hut or whatever. Got a "go Bobcats" from a guy there in an Idaho hat. Went to Hocking College. Small world.

For anyone who thinks Athens is isolated, you ought to go to Moscow. Man is it and WSU in the boonies! Wonder where the team flew into.

Is ESPN the only sports channel on Sling TV?

Here's a review of it:
http://www.cnet.com/news/sling-tv-everything-you-need-to-...
The $20 charge would include ESPN and ESPN2, but not ESPNU or EPSNews, both of which Ohio has been on before. For those you'd have to pay an additional $5.
