I said it in an earlier post as well as my fearless forecast, Ohio won't come out on top vs the Gophers. Kent was their wake-up call and the team that hung in there vs TCU will return.

That wouldn't surprise me, but of course, if that happens, we will wait to see if your next forecast comes true as well, that Ohio loses to Akron, and the "board goes into freefall & Monroe sets self on fire".
I really don't want to see an Akron loss...but my inner-Nostradamus is feeling "in the zone" about this one. Keep your fire extinguisher at the ready, LC.

Minnesota's defense is too good. Minnesota 24-10.

Honestly, Minnesota wasn't that impressive against TCU. The defense was solid but Boykin was awful.

TCU looked like a team that recruits in the 30+ (ranking) range and gets the most out of that talent while not playing against any defenses all year.

At the same time, Minnesota's offense is bad. It looked bad against TCU too. With any offense, Minnesota wins that game. It has continued to look bad throughout the season.

I think this is a 21-17 or 17-14 kind of game either way unless Ohio hits some big plays -- which I would love to see.

I predicted Marshall to beat Ohio. So I don't want to underestimate our team once again.

I like our chances quite a bit against Minnesota. Hope to get the ground game rolling - we can give them so many different looks with AJ, Papi, Daz, etc. So I feel more comfortable with our offense than usual.

It really should be a close, low scoring game. We'll need our special teams to be MUCH better.

OHIO 17
Minnesota 13

I have absolutely no idea how this game is going to go. I can see a 2015 Marshall, a 2012 Penn State or a 2014 BG Homecoming scenario playing out. I picked Minny over OHIO in the preseason forecast, but I believe eventually we need to ruin someone's Homecoming weekend, as has happened to us in recent memory. If I were a betting man I would run from this game.

All I know is...GO CATS!

I completely agree, D.A. I have no idea who will win. I don't think Ohio will move the ball very well against Minnesota, but I also don't think Minnesota will move the ball well against Ohio. I think that if any team scores 20, that will be enough to win, but I'm not sure I see either team getting that many. How about this prediction? I predict that there will be in excess of 16 total punts in the game. Here's an article about their punter, who is outstanding:

Minnesota wins 27-6.

I blame Kent State. Minnesota played down to the level of their opponent last week, underestimated their opponent; no way they make that mistake two weeks in a row. I think Ohio would have won had they played last week.

I think the Bobcats will be a much better team come November than right now. Bobcats have shown some things to getting really excited about this team(pass rush, defense overall and big plays on offense. Concerns are the slow starts after halftime with the offense and penalties. Offense needs to move the ball enough to give the defense a rest. Special teams are important. FG kicks have to be made. This might come down to which team can hit a couple field goals.
