By all means correct me if I'm mistaken, but if we win this game won't we be at .500 for the all-time record?
According to the Akron game notes, Ohio was at .500 going into that game.

So we are at an all-time winning record, then?

It's been eons since we've blown anyone out.
You know I hate to differ with you, Monroe, but just two years ago we beat Akron 43-3. I know you think Akron is a nobody, but it still counts.

...Are you people in some other bizarro universe? You think this will be a close game but there are threads about OHIO winning out and making a major bowl game?!
...

I don't think there is any chance of Ohio making a major bowl, but I do think there is a significant chance of Ohio winning the East, and a chance of Ohio winning the MACC. To do that, Ohio needs to win them one at a time. It would certainly be nice if Ohio puts Miami away by the half, but if Miami is fired up and plays hard, it may be a battle into the second half. So long as Ohio wins, I'll be happy. It's the win that matters, not the style points.

WOW! Early line at 17.5.

That's about what I expected. If it appears that Vick won't play, the line may narrow. Even though they suck, I'm sure the Bobcats won't overlook Miami, so I don't expect it to be close this week.

The line has narrowed a bit, and is now 16.

Beat Miami!

Muck Fiami!

Whatever it takes!

I want this to be over by the end of the first quarter, but at least by halftime.

I heard their coach on a radio station here in Cincinnati yesterday. I know coaching styles are a subjective thing but wow, what a dry, bland guy. No enthusiasm, no salesmanship, no energy. I know Frank is more on the stoic side too, but wow. Maybe he was up too late the night before but wow no fire.

He seems to be an excellent recruiter, so he must have some salesmanship. Since he took over at Miami, their recruiting classes have moved up from near the bottom to the top third of the MAC. Maybe it was just a bad day?

Is 15.5 a function of respect for us or disrespect for redhawk?

Well if you want to see animated, watch the last four minutes of last week's game against Kant. He was chewing ass on their QB to the point I though the kid would either break down in tears or cold cock the guy. Definitely not a warm, fuzzy dude.

Others on here have said our offensive is run by reactionary conservatives. Can they both be right? ;-)

If Vegas is correct in picking us with an easy win then I believe we will see more opportunities for 2nd & 3rd team players which would lead to more rest for the 1st team. It would also give us the chance to be more vanilla in our "O" so we don't show our future opponents any new looks.
It appears that we will also be getting back some guys who were out last week and that's all good as their injuries were not severe.

According to the Akron game notes, Ohio was at .500 going into that game.
The past three seasons ('12, '13, & '14) the team got off to a great, good, and decent start and everything fell apart when the program was faced with the opportunity to go over .500. At least they exorcised that demon.

I've had for the past several a great deal of respect for Delete Pending and his
contributions to this forum. That respect has just grown 100 times after this recent post, which includes lyrics to "I am a Patriot" by the great Steven Van Zandt (with slight alterations).

Well done.
