Before Grobe's 2nd season at Ohio, I decided to pick the winners of all 12 games - 12 because Ohio opened at Hawaii. After 9 games Ohio stood at 6-3, and I'd correctly picked all nine winners. BUT, I had also picked Ohio to lose its last three. Which is precisely what happened, with one of those losses being a game-12 gut-wrencher against Toledo in Peden.

I found that pre-season picking, instead of adding fun to the season, added (stupid) stress. I guess it was my then still competitive side kicking in.

So now I do derive fun from seeing the picks of other BAs, but not enough to resume my own pre-season picking.

The last time Monroe went "full-truculent alumnus demanding a coach's head" was in basketball with TOS. I think you will all recall Jeremy Fears back-flipping that team to a dramatic MAC title. I stand by my call. (and don't forget my North Side bookend miracle in Chicago)
