You know, the desire to play a "brand" school is exactly why it's so tough to get "P" schools to play MAC schools in most any sport. Remember Herbie disparagingly referring to "directional" schools a few years ago. And it wasn't so long ago that App State knocked off Mich at Ann Arbor. "Brand" is in the eye of the beholder.

I agree. How can we expect people to put value on us when we don't place value on ourselves?

It is MOST important that Ohio plays a program in the bowl game that we can compete with and WIN. The coaches feel the same way. Makes NO SENSE to play a BYU team and get BLOWN OUT. Coaches have mentioned SDSU as possibly being a quality win. Word is young Poppy may be back.

Just remember, Troy beat the livin' crap out of us in New Orleans a few years ago. Made us rethink our entire approach to the game.

Hmmm...Let's see. Directionals, include Southern California, Southern Mississippi, East Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Georgia Southern, Miami FL, Middle Tennessee, North Texas, Southern Methodist, Central Florida, South Florida, Texas El Paso, West Virginia, Western Kentucky as well as Central Michigan, Western Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Northern Illinois, Miami OH, Appalachian State, UCLA. That's one out of every 6 FBS schools that, according to the Gospel of Herbie, aren't deserving of playoff opportunities.

Just playing devil's advocate but Sun Belt teams/fans may be saying the same thing about Ohio.

I pray no Camellia Bowl. 500 people in a glorified high school stadium with no-one watching on TV. This bowl to me along with the Bahama Bowl are poster children for "joke" bowls.

Not a very "sexy" game (oh well) but as Bobcatblitz has said, a winnable one. GO BOBCATS!!

Ok, I'll withhold believing until I hear that the coach informed them of this or another official report confirms it.

I just googled and the local TV station in Montgomery is saying we are going there. Sorry to hear that. Now I will have to decide whether to watch or go to the local rec center and watch a 7 year old biddy league game.
