When during the Solich era have they not run multiple O lineman into the game? It has very much been regular practice.
In 2005 there was very little rotation until someone got hurt, then a backup played, and that backup then played 100% of the time.
In 2006 I have hard numbers for the percentage of snaps played by each starter:
Shelby - 97.7%, including 9 games where he played every snap
Miller 97.3%, including 9 games where he played every snap
Coppage missed one game, in the others played 91% of the snaps, including 8 games where he played every snap
Knabb 90.4%, six games where he played every snap
Johnson 93.7% till he got hurt, then Eynon 84.4% of the snaps. Johnson played 2 complete games (of 4), Eynon played 2 complete games.
In 2007-8 there was more rotation, with most starting linemen playing 85% of the snaps. In 2009 it was back to little rotation, with guys like Rogers and White playing almost every snaps all season. Again in 2010 there wasn't much rotation, with Allen, Herman, and Flading often going all the way. In 2011-2014 there were a lot more injuries on the Oline, and thus there was a lot more rotation.
