Twitter post from Arkley:

https://twitter.com/JasonAmessenger/status/67841038252920...

Vick's response:

https://twitter.com/OUdvickQB/status/678438711944716288

Vick also tweeted something about a "cover up," but has since deleted that tweet.

so much for the inside information. The fans fell in love with Sprague and hence the coaches gave them what they wanted.

Something just doesn't add up with this staff. When you combine this with Irons and the race-related drama of 2013, it starts to explain some of the head-scratching personnel decisions of the past several years.

IMO, this staff can't GTFO soon enough.

Any way to repost Vick's response? I just tried the cite and was told "the page does not exist".

Did anyone watch the OSU vs Michigan State game where (proven) OSU star runningback Zeke Marshall barely played?

Was their a grand conspiracy to limit his play time?

Did OSU really blow their chances at a national championship because the coaches were playing favorites?

Is Urban Meyer racist?

The world may never know.

Come on giacomo, you must not have a daughter. It's "the sun'll come out tomorrow"

I bet my daughter played that song more times than I've questioned attendance figures. :)

Brufus. Do you suppose the individual, Vick, that deleted the tweet might have decided to do so for good reasons. Congratulations Brufus.

Hey if you post it for all to see it's fair game. We may never know the whole truth but it seems like a coaches decision regardless.

Question I would have asked myself would be, he deleted/rescinded the tweet, why? Perhaps he regretted the post for any number of reasons. People should be able to regret and delete/rescind their thoughts. Me, I would have left it alone. Someone wants to know, they should contact Mr. Vick directly for clarification. JMHO.

Vick is a very intelligent young man. He may have regretted saying that in that forum but its the truth. He was available and healthy. Coaches chose to go with Sprague. I for one think Vick wins that game. Hell I think Irons gets 3 yards when we needed 1 lol. Oh well on to next year and a new saga in "Why the Hell cant Ohio win a MACC with all the talent on the sidelines".

I think Sprague is a more durable ball carrier with better acceleration. It seems the staff was trying to establish the QB run to keep the defense honest.
Those who think Vick is the better passer and decision maker did not see the Buffalo game.

Sprague's arm strength is horrible. I see why he was a walk on. That being said, he has over achieved. Nobody would believe he could start for a D1 college, this is the story of our life. We don't recruit well and our qb's have to over achieve. None of these coaches have the ability to evaluate QB's. We have had NFL talent at wide receiver and good running backs and still can't get a top tier QB. The coaches don't win recruiting battles, we don't have anyone with a power 5 conference offer. Watch, we will get a surprise signing that never shows up. These coaches need to believe and be relentless in the living room.

The Buffalo game was the worst of his career. You can't base what he is on that one game. The total career stats are a large sample that show clearly Vick is a better passer than Sprague, but I think there is something to what you're saying about Sprague's effectiveness as a runner, especially if Vick wasn't 100 percent. When Vick played and could not run much, it really set the offense back.

Still think that our scheme, which changes very little in pace and play-calling, perfectly grooms our qb's to not be good and/or experienced in pressure moments.

Every year, we see the top qb's in MAC rise to big moments against us. Same re out of conf opponents. But, save for early TT, we haven't seen hardly any of that.

To me, it's not physical skill. Our qb's have that, maybe not in spades, but in reasonably sufficient quantity.

It's game management and personality exercised and experience.

This is another reason why I have our poor clock management and unwillingness to try to score on short clocks at end of first half. 'cause a residue is that our qb's don't have experience in tough. Timid does not engender bold.

Life is about how one performs in big moments. And that performance is built on preparation, repetition, experience.

Some point to passing records set under Solich.

So, there must be some ability there.

Then, what's missing....

scheme..experience.....

Its just a shame that Vick didn't play, and that it was not his choice. Thats a very weird thing to do to a player that has given 5 years to the program and earned the starting QB position two years in a row...

The fans wanted Sprague, he beat NIU and the coaches gave the fans what they wanted.

You 're joking, right?
If that were true, they'd be starting Irons. You really think they're listening to the few loud fans that keep repeating the same old things. You probably don't know Frank very well.
