Windham was the best QB in camp last year and he showed marked improvement during his time on the field this year I expect him and Sprague to battle for the starting job. The other guys have NO exp. None Zilch Nada. When was the last time Coach Solich played Freshmen or RFreshmen with no Exp over not one but two productive upper classmen at QB. A young guy would have to be the next Tyler Tettleton to jump Windham and Sprague I dont see it.

That's just the point. I think everyone hopes that someone will turn out to be the next T3, or TT (or better).

If Windham was the best QB in camp last year he should have been starting.

They will owe Sprague or Windham the job, Big Ben will have to wait another year. Wait Big Ben is backing up Sprague and Windham. Windham looks real nervous whenever he play. He probably practices well, he just needs to work on his nerves.

Remember that Vick was not in camp last Spring.

No one should be "owed" anything. If that's the thinking of the staff, Lord help this team.

That "They will owe Sprague or Windham the job" is just allen's opinion. Or perhaps he is just stirring the pot. Off the top of my head, White, Provitt, Ouellette, Basham, Hale, Croutch, Pruehs, Wood, McCray, Lowery, Walker, Smith and Sayles are all examples of players given opportunities as true freshmen and played significant roles immediately ahead of others who had been with the team longer. Having seen the coaches play so many freshmen lately I have to discount allen's opinion. I do not expect to change his opinion.

They owed Daz and they will owe Sprague and Windham. Remember, we have Big Ben and even he has no shot to win the position.

Who said they owed Daz? And who is Big Ben and who says he is Big Ben?

The stats and visual performance show they owed Daz. The coaches have likened Quinton Maxwell to Big Ben. Daz is a good back, but was not the second best back on our team.

What stat showed they owed Daz? Which coach likened Maxwell to Big Ben?

So and Daz bettering Beau in avg/c during his mop up time in both 12 & 13 means what? Mop up work = higher avg. Oh and Maxwell has potential, you expected someone to say something different? blitz's most recent post predicts Sprague/Windham 2016 season. No one said Maxwell is Big Ben then or now. Except in your spin.

There is no spin, I gave it to you straight, I did not manipulate any comments or stats. Maxwell does have talent, If he is Big Ben, he is starting and someone is transferring like Hawk. I hope Maxwell is great, I gave my opinion based on truth no spin.

No, you did not manipulate the stats, but, you draw a conclusion from 2015 that is inexplicable. 2012 & 2013 Daz in mop up is better than starter, 2012 being Beau's 1,600 yard season, Daz 5.7 to Beau's 5.1, heck Hammonds averaged 7.2. Mop up equal higher average. So in 2015 Daz does the heavy lifting of starter and his average falls in line with what we can expect from that and you want to wave the stats of the new mop up back as some meaningful significant , data. No, I will continue to call you on that. So "someone" after a "practice" "likened" Maxwell to Big Ben. And from that, you leap to "he is Big Ben." Who did Vick "look" like in his 2012 "game" after throwing for four TDs, Brett Farve?

Isn't Bo Hardy, statistically, the best back on the team? Last time I looked he had some tremendous yards/carry average. He was also reported to have been the fastest guy on the team. Obviously, Frank and Company don't know what they are doing. Hardy should have started every game.

They must be really crazy if they moved their best back to safety.

Such rank incompetence is hard to take. Next think you know Maleek Irons will be playing on the DL. ;-)

What! Wait! Who signed off on that? Argg!

After thinking about this, Mr. Hardy might have requested the move. If it is according to his wishes, great.

Has there ever been a better coach than Solich?

The MAC is a tough, tough, tough conference and he's absolutely dominating it.

If he even thinks it, it's true.

We all have eyes, Brown and Irons were both better than Daz and you know it. We all know about the questionable play calling, Daz up the middle on 4th and 1. We all know the coaches were going to move AJ to linebacker. We all know who has the potential to get 100 yards per week (AJ, Brown, and Irons) every week. Daz is a good back and could start on 4 MAC teams, but he was our fourth best back, with Hardy on his heels. If there were an open competition, I believe every coach would see it that way. It's not even close.

It isn't worth having this same argument every week. We know that's how you see it, but it's a simple fact that not everyone sees it the same way. My opinion is that both Irons and Brown have tremendous talent, but that their games also have areas that need improvement. I believe that the backs were used in a very reasonable way this year.
