I get news just like you get it. When Bobcatblitz speaks we all see him as credible, now you fellows don't. We except Arkley's word as fact and then Vick refuted it, so news is news. Mediocre's you can't pick and choose when you want to believe sources. I believe bobcatblitz just like you guys have and do, so cut the bs.
Bobcatblitz has as much credibility as anyone here, which is to say, not all that much when reporting hearsay. I do believe that he probably talked to someone that was impressed with Irons. Was it a coach? A GA? I have no idea. What was the context? Were they talking about the present? The future? Raw potential? I have no way of knowing for sure. Was the comment based on something Irons had done that specific day that had impressed the speaker? Or was it based on a long period of observation of his work ethic and day in, day out performance?
The bottom line is that we can't know the answers to any of these questions, so we need to not read too much into it, nor any other third hand report. Similarly, when blitz reports that he has matured a lot, and that as a result he will play a bigger role this fall, we can hope that he's right, but we still can't read too much into it. Note, however, that if you're going to read a lot into his first post, should you also read a lot into his second one, including the implication that there was a need for him to mature before he was ready to play a major role?
As for Vick, I don't consider anything "refuted", but rather consider it contested. None of us will ever know what went on, so I think we'll have to say that it is unknown. Most likely it was a complex situation, and Arkley had reasons for believing what he wrote, and most likely Vick had reasons for thinking that it wasn't entirely correct.
