Maybe Rich Rod will be hired away.

You know what they did to WKU last night?

Pretty terrible opponent for a 10-3 MAC Championship team....

Ohio was 9-3 last year and played a 6-6 Georgia Southern team.... Nothing to gain there, and absolutely nothing to gain this year either.

At least give OU a better G5 opponent if they can't play a P5 program. This really is just another let down by the conference & ESPN picking the matchups.

Jacksonville State was literally FCS 2 years ago....Seriously, WTF!?!?!

I would assume home based off record.

This sucks. I was pumped to head down. We lose and it looks bad. We win and the opponent isn't notable. Give us a damn P4 team of any name.

Per the Cure Bowl ticketing info and the seating chart on Ticketmaster, Ohio’s sections are on the side of the away bench.

This was the matchup I always wanted when I enrolled at Ohio in 1994. When I was a HS Senior, I sat in class dreaming about this matchup. Just a chance to see us play Jacksoville State in a coveted December 20th bowl for a payout of $573,000 split 12 ways.

When I was Athens from 83-87 I just dreamed of winning more then 1 game a season. I was in Mobile for Franks first bowl game. Maybe you’re more entitled then me. I wanted a winning season and a bowl game.

This game could be ugly. Both teams might be a shell of what they were when the weekend started.

That’s really the norm for bowl games now outside of the playoff, I would predict the same thing for every other bowl game.

You know, there are those who this past week bitched about Ohio maybe playing in Detroit the day after Christmas probably against a mid-level B10 team in the GameAvove Sports Bowl (f/k/a Quick Lane Bowl, f/k/a Little Caesar's Pizza Bowl, f/k/a Ford Motor City Bowl, f/k/a Motor City Bowl) with a payout of about $2 million. I'm not sure exactly what their gripes were (destination? name of the bowl? opponent?). Anyway, I hope they're happy now. And it really doesn't matter what the payout for the Cure Bowl is. All the MAC teams get an equal share of the combined MAC bowl payouts, after the schools participating in bowls are reimbursed for their expenses..

My only questions to you (1) did you graduate HS? (2) How is this the payout split 12 ways?

The MAC pools all the payout money received for member schools from bowls and splits it equally (12 teams) after paying for the participating teams expenses.

Which means we also benefit from the other 5 or more teams from the MAC appearing in bowl games. I was just trying to educate Bobcat Love since he likes to trivialize the net benefits of a bowl game.

Really lousy. With all the bowls in driving distance against teams someone has heard of once before.

If Albin gets his team to a bowl, just think how the opposing team will be bitching about having to play a UNCC, a team no one has heard of and so it will be deja vu all over again.

And a NOON start...

Noon on a Friday before most people’s break starts is rough.

That’s my last day this year, thankfully I’m hybrid and Friday is a remote day so I can have it on in the background

Winning is *ALWAYS* worth it.

Especially, now. End on a high note. Start next season on a positive.

Also, 2nd longest bowl win streak in FBS on the line.

Win the MAC and get the 3rd worse bowl game in the conference?

Most desirable opponent to least desirable?

Toledo vs Pitt
Miami vs Colorado St
Buffalo vs Liberty
NIU vs Fresno St
Ohio vs Jax St
Western Michigan vs South Alabama
BGSU vs Arkansas St
