For what it's worth as a point of reference, A&M forces RVs to park a mile and a half from the stadium, and charges $105 per game.
http://www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com/tickets/gameday-rv-parki... (And as an anecdotal data point, my wife's uncle(s) stopped doing the weekly RV trek to Cbus for osu games due to the headache of distance and cost.)
As far as we're concerned, I get why they don't want RVs front and center. Parking is at a premium in Athens, and if you put an RV in the Peden or Walter Hall lots, you're taking up multiple spaces that could be used by other fans going to the game. I have no problem with them rewarding donors with these spots.
IMO, the way to improve the game day tailgating scene is to make better use of Punchcard Park. That could easily become Ohio's version of "The Grove"...and with it bridging the gap between the Convo and Peden, that's something that could carry over into basketball too.
(Yes, I am suggesting outdoor tailgating for college basketball games in the winter. How many schools are we recruiting against that can boast that?)
