That is so much garbage, L.C. You and the rest of the SFB will NEVER admit that Solich has been mediocre--not a single MAC title in 11 seasons...in a weak conference such as the MAC for the man you revere so much.

Go ahead. Attack my means and alleged motive. That surely is the point and the problem. It's not Solich and his lack of MACC and knorr-like last 3.5 years.

Yeah, it's all about my predictions and expectations.

Yeah, expecting one MACC in 11 years is about my expectations being excessive.
Why you continue to rant that a MACC is the ONLY criteria that defines success is mind boggling. Winning about 60% of the time is NOT mediocre in anyone's book (except yours).

I wonder what that poster Monroe thinks about this coaching staff and our inability to win a MAC Championship. Anyone know?

The darn guy is so taciturn that nobody can discern how he really feels about this issue. I minored in psychology, I'll see if I can figure out a way to loosen him up a bit and get him to express his real feelings. He needs to get in touch with his inner Monroe and learn how to express those pent up feelings he suppresses and won't express on this board. Don't give up, Monroe, there is therapy can help you with this issue.

What a bunch of crap. Knorr like? He was 11-35 during his stay here. Ohio was what?

You seem much like Donald Trump, in this respect, because when you feel attacked, rather than replying, you attack the person that you feel has attacked you. As you know very well, this isn't about me, nor about my expectations. I have very high expectations for 2016-2018, and expect this to be Ohio's best team yet under Solich.

Let's get back to my point, which you didn't answer. If your reason isn't to try to create excessive expectations for the purpose of making it easier to be critical of Ohio after the game, why did you feel the need to insult Texas State, calling them far worse than even EMU? Why, in another thread, did you feel the need to insult Kansas? If the reason isn't to create excessive expectations, making it easier to be critical of Ohio after the game, what is the reason?

Rather than relying on you for expectations, how about relying on the point spread? The consensus seems to be that Ohio should win this game by three touchdowns. Partly that is because Texas State is struggling. Partly that is because Ohio is a good team. If Ohio wins easily, it bodes well, and if not, it will indicate a need to the team to continue to improve in order to get where we both want them to be.

L.C. I see that, Monroe, in that respect, very much like Trump. Fake Monroe might consider changing his handle to Fake Trump.

Monroe posts so he can always be 'right'. Above he said "In other words, Texas State is very likely going to be horrible.

We should win handily and not point to it as a fine win."

So he expects we win big and if so we can't be happy about execution, score or whatever other aspect one wants to focus on.

Yet at the same time he knocks Windham for having just 53 passes in his career and questions a number of other parts of our game. But I guess that makes sense since we have such a 'mediocre' coach.

So if we don't win big then he'll go off on Windham or anyone else who doesn't execute to perfection in the first game of the season. If Windham does well he'll say the opposition was 'horrible'. So he'll be right no matter the outcome.

Never seen anyone more negative and pessimistic BEFORE the season even starts.
The goal is to establish an expectation that can never be exceeded.
If you think that is my goal then your comprehension is quite suspect.

My goal is a MACC title.

If we're going to play football, that is simply the goal. (And if we're not going to pursue that, then not playing is fine with me.)

A corollary goal is to have recognition that inability to achieve that goal by any coach, but especially one exulted and here for 11 years and who several times a year gets crushed by teams not markedly better than us, means that the ability and achievement of that coach should be questioned.
