Here's my hot take:
Before camp started Frank said he was going to "take risks" this year. After watching him coach for 10 years, I'm not sure he's capable of that. But JD leaving the team forces Frank to take the risk (Windham) over the reliable game-manager QB (JD). If Windham starts to gain confidence and play well, this team could actually be much better than anticipated. At a minimum, it won't be boring!
For some reason I remember Frank taking some risks last season. I can't recall any specifics but I feel like there were a few times where he actually surprised me.
