Hopefully it rains less this time, so we can see a bit more of Knoxville this time around.

Got reservations at Ye Olde Friday night. Also got to stop by a Krystal while you're there. Where's everyone staying? We're at the Hilton. Did Robert Fox every get a tailgate together?

Couple of comments and questions to get any insight on the following:

1. Rain - Looks like 80% chance of some or lot of rain at this point. Bring your rain gear that can fit into a 12x12 inch square clear plastic bag, according to stadium policy.
2. Parking - any advice on parking as close to Bobcat Bash location as possible?

My travel situation is that I cannot leave Charlotte, NC until after my son's highs school football game and their arrival back to the school (it is an away game). So I will probably not arrive in Knoxville until about 4-5 am on Saturday morning. I have a hotel room about 12 miles from the stadium but don't know the benefit of checking in at that time and going to sleep for a few hours then getting up a few hours later to go park and walk to Bobcat Bash. Thinking of going straight to the stadium and parking very early then sleeping for a few hours in the vehicle. Your thoughts?

Why didn't I think of that!

I'm in the Hilton downtown. Got a very solid deal (same as I did at Louisville a couple years ago) by booking extremely early. Pretty excited.

Still trying to figure out plans for tailgating Saturday.

Two things - Optimist we're at the Hilton too - booked as soon as the game was confirmed which was probably last year. Second, look us up would like to meet you.

Robert Fox, did your tailgate plans every develop? I know this noon start sucks but wanted to check.

Would love to meet Friday or Saturday, I will look you up.

I'm going to try to dig up thread discussing tailgating. At the very least, I'd like to see if there is area where Bobcats might be centralized for tailgating.

Alan,
I'm working on something that might work as a meet/greet. I'll respond back later today or tomorrow morning. You're right, the noon start is a real problem for me--just many scheduling issues to overcome. I'll get back.

Thanks Robert - didn't mean to put you on the spot. Many people coming down have lots of people they'd like to see and that noon start really condenses the time to do things. Even the UT fans don't like that start time.

We'll be in Section Z13, rows 4 and 5.

I'm striking out on the tailgate gathering. Just too early a kickoff. I'd be glad to meet all at the Bobcat Bash.

Living room couch, hoping game doesn't last longer than 3.5 hours so I don't have to miss any action due to leaving for daughter's soccer game.

Z15 also. Not too bad according to what I saw on virtual seating site. Got a airbnb room for 4 of us. Looks like right on campus and the host said there may be some partying around and in his house. But he is letting me park in his driveway early on Saturday before check in. 1/2 mile walk from Bobcat Bash.
