Can anyone just enjoy the game for the game's sake? It's a beautiful fall day, you're watching your alma mater on the field. The young men, if you can remember when you were that age, are giving it everything they have. It's the highlight of their life to play and they will look back on it fondly when they are old like most of us. You see some old friends and make some new ones. There is some drama and some good plays and some bad plays. You hear the band play and think back to your days on campus. Sounds pretty good to me.
BINGO!!! Well said and is exactly how I feel! I will never crucify an Ohio head coach who wins more than he loses, whose players get good grades and seem to represent the alma mater well off the field. I got my degree from Ohio, not that school 90 minutes northwest up Rt.33. I'll leave the "8-5 isn't nearly good enough for me so fire the freakin' coach and his staff" crowd to them.
Although, that being said, in a homage to Monroe, I would like to see a MACC someday. :)
