And we score in a little over 2 minutes. What an answer. Backs against the wall and we produce.

Can't wait for someone to explain how our performance today proves we are the MACC favorite.

#21 has absolutely gotten his rear burned the whole game. And #7 needs to tone his act down. Thinks every play he makes is so unreal that he needs to showboat. Play football dude, you're good, but just play football. How ehhhh it is to see it all the time.
And uhhh, you just got dragged into the end zone by a little receiver.

You could see that TD from EMU coming the whole way. Ohio had all of the defenders up on the line. The middle of the field was wide open. Once the safety dropped back it was a simple pitch and catch on a slant. UNREAL.

Just wanted to give EMU credit before bcat2 has a chance to complain that no one on here is giving EMU credit.

I was not able to watch the game but from what I was hearing from the radio broadcast it seems like we were playing extremely soft coverage and giving up 10 yards a pop on pass plays. It also sounded like the linebackers stayed home on every play with few blitzes, and they still got beat on pass coverage!

I'm interested in what anyone who saw the game saw going on on defense. I get the offensive problems, plodding, no imagination as usual, but the defensive collapse puzzles me.

Actually, Alan, Trump would be claiming that the game was rigged.

Might want to examine your ability as a seer:

Miami over Akron last week...Benghazi for Clinton...Two guys on OHIO who you, apparently, believed people close to the team when they identified them as All-American caliber...one of your touted wide receivers not getting the ball at all...buying about everything this coaching staff says or does...

I'll give credit to their O line. BIG - And did their job today.

I can't give credit to their receivers. How hard is it to run an entire route, adjust when QB gets out of the pocket, and be/get/stay open with no one within 10 yards of you the entire time........

Coverage scheme was softer than a mashed potato sandwich. Very disappointing.
As for the decision to option run wide with only a yard to go..............

Same awful defense Ohio played vs Tx Stat....it didn't work then...so of course they go back to it again. How many times can Frank say coaching wasn't good enough after a loss? This staff is something else. Another loss to a team Ohio should be running circles around 12 yrs into Solich era. Even worse is fact this team can win East at 7-5 with 6 wins over teams in the bottom 22 of the country.

Can't wait to see bcat2 spin this one.

Credit to EMU for sure...they're much improved. So stop throwing that line out there.

These are type of losses Ohio should be past 12 years into Solich era. Should have program that is well above those like EMU & TxSt....especially to beat them at home. We're lucky to be considered 6th best in MAC. Sad state of affairs considering....

I too will give credit to EMU because they have come a long way in a short time. It is not easy to recruit players to your institution or raise funds when you sit about seven (7) miles from the "Big House" and that football factory known as Michigan. They have done a great job of getting kids to buy into their system. That being said, I completely agree with what Bshot44 posted above. We are in year twelve (12) of Frank & Co. and are no better than the sixth (6th) best team in the MAC, and that may be too generous. I appreciate how far we have come but boys and girls we should be a powerhouse in the MAC and clearly we are nowhere near that. Sorry, but I am tired of the excuses. Go Bobcats!

Yep, funny, today is the day on a few ocassions it should have been ANNYBODY UTM and instead we run wide. I just don't get. and i especially liked the 4th ad 6 or 7 or 8 on the 37 and we punt into the end zone to gin 17 yards! Then we kick the ball to give them another 5 or 10. Pathetic.

The big play was the dropped INT in the end zone that they convert to a TD on the next play. And, someone says we have playmakers? Not today folks.

Agree--not going for it 4th and 6 from their 37 late in the game was a bad call. If we didn't make it, so what. Our D had been decent and we need to be able to rely on it to get a key stop.

Arch-conservative football won games in the 1950's.

But it's 2016.

Also, before today our leading carries by running backs were four guys with 30-42 carries each...except Windham had 71 carries. I imagine that Windham's 'carries' included sacks. But he'd run very, very effectively. We didn't think that a half-way decent team would key to stop Windham??...as on the late option sweep.

Of course, a true two back set would mean that the D wouldn't know who to key on ...and would be almost certain to work SINCE WE NEVER RUN IT and it would be a total surprise hard to prepare for.

Cue the chorus: the coaches know more than I could possibly ever know.

Also, had to love our first third down on our first possession of the game. 3rd and 4.

AND WE TAKE PAPI OFF THE FIELD FOR THE THIRD DOWN PLAY.

Sure, why would we have wanted EMU to key on, account for Papi's speed?

Didn't make the first, had to punt.

That is that stupid two tight end set we run. If we are gonna pass put WRs out there not two TE that we never, or excuse me, threw to once all day.
