14-0 with an upset of the Vols in Knoxville, the MACC title in the bag, and a victory in a New Year's Day bowl game. Anything less and the entire staff must go! The only reason we do not go to the National Championship is the obvious bias of the powers that be and the media to put us in that deserved position. So, 14-0 with a New Year's Day beat down of some big name P-5 team by OUr beloved Cats! Monroe, does this meet expectations?

Three things:

NIU losing to Wyoming isn't the equivalent of OHIO losing to Texas State. The top program in a conference for 10 years can expect to have a breather for a Few, especially with the coaching changes. Pun intended.

I know this fails the associative law of football but MAC East teams losing to BGSU and the fans of the team up RT33 could say their team could drop a 100 on em.

I went to the Zips game vs VMI on Saturday evening. Observations, VMI had several lightning players but couldn't out physical the bigger Zips. Didn't VMI when they visited Athens use the option? All spread now..

Zips QB Woodson, looked vastly improved. His receivers badly beat VMI's corners all night but Woodson rewarded them by hitting them in stride. Six TD's and no OT to pad stats. The Warren Ball from OSU looked like he will be a top shelf MAC back. Zips number 7, Jerome Lane has the same impact on his team as the OHIO number 7 at the receiver spot. Lane is big and seems to have an extra gear. On one reception, Woodson threw too high. Lane jumped high and one hand deflected the ball to a Dback who caught it and scooted up the sideline with a head start on Lane. Lane, quick to react from the jump, switched directions and was on the interceptor in less than 10 yards--

The Zips defense didn't do a good job; VMI had some nice drives.

When OHIO meets Akron, assuming no injuries, it should be MACTION results.

I have come to the conclusion that others "not getting it" is the objective........
