I have a master's degree and am currently, working on a second master's degree. Don't try to bring us down to your mediocre state. Go post on OSU's site. Why are you hear if you are not an Ohio fan? Why do you have the name OhioBobcat? You have been cheapening us as fans and I am calling it out. NOBODY is too good for Ohio, we don't play games to hang, we play to win. We recruit to win.
I wish I could introduce you to Lakarlos Townsend who turned down USC to come here. If Lakarlos had not been injured he would have went to the NFL. There is a poster/former player that turned down Louisville and Nebraska.

* "Why are you HEAR. . .?"
* "he would have WENT to the . . ."
* The comma in your first sentence is not necessary.
So, who is cheapening this board, not to mention a degree from Ohio University?
Hahhaaaa!
I have a Masters of Science in Management. When you study leadership, you understand that mediocrity is your number one enemy. I want the Cats and fans to believe that we can win. This may piss some of you off and make you want to cry. Winning starts in the mind. It is so easy to be marginal and it so hard to be great. We as fans have inundated with mediocrity, we have been conditioned to continually look back on our previous failures versus moving forward and believing and being relentless. We make up excuses and ostracize believers.
There's a lot of mediocrity being celebrated, and a lot of wonderful stuff being ignored or discouraged. Sean Penn
I'm not angry at all. Just the opposite in fact. I've gotten to the point where I'm just waiting for the next response to laugh at.
If you're truly tying to motivate people here to embrace your ideas, you might next consider some courses on PR, Sales, or Public Speaking. Because recently, regardless of the degree you hold, most of us aren't buying what you're selling.
At the end of the day, I don't need to get you to believe. My goal is to make you challenge the way that you think. You are a grown man or woman. There is a scripture that says, does a leopard change his spots? You are who you are, if I hired you then I would probably feel sick because I would be responsible for you. I love Ohio and I want to see our university succeed, so I will oppose the mediocre thoughts. I believe FS can get a great QB to come and play for Ohio. I believe we can win the MAC and go to a college football playoff game.
I met great people at Ohio, I already know that Ohio is a great school and a great experience. I transferred to Ohio from Wright State, I was an OSU fan, but I fell in love with Ohio. I don't do this to sell Ohio to you, I do it for the recruits and the players. I want them to know that they can be great. When Alvin Floyd committed, he talked about becoming a member of the no fly zone. I want people like him to believe that they can have a no fly zone in Athens and do great things, it doesn't have to happen tomorrow, it can happen today. The players want to be great and they can't afford to think that their fans don't believe that they can win. I am not against you or anybody else, I am against people having a defeated mind state that rubs off on the players.
You're not against me, yet you say "if I hired you then I would probably feel sick because I would be responsible for you." That's interesting.
I think you are missing the point, which is: your delivery, and inconsistency of message, along with these little slights make it so that some on here don't even want to read a thing you type.
If you think we all have this "defeated state of mind", you're mistaken. Coming here, talking and rooting on the Bobcats is for most of us, our entertainment, our fun throughout much of the year. My "state of mind" on game day is to have as much fun as possible with friends, and cheer on the team as much as I can.
And, if you think for a second that any player or recruit cares about this idea of our fan's being in a "defeated state of mind," you're fooling yourself. They don't have time for that nonsense. In fact, if the basketball team read your rants against Saul this week, they'd likely be at his defense immediately. If you think that the majority of members on here read your rambles, and think, "Gee, I'll start looking at things from allen's point of view", again, you're fooling yourself. Instead, they're hoping your phone quits working to get a reprieve.
The point of coming and commenting on this board, at least for myself and the majority of members I enjoy interacting with here, is to share ideas, Bobcat news, etc. I haven't once posted to try to "challenge the way others think", or change their point of view. That's not what this space is for.
But post away - tell us all we're "defeated", or thinking small, or that we don't care, or whatever other nonsense you're saying about everyone. Just know that the way you deliver it, the attitude that comes across, makes people not want to read or hear what you have to say.
